I live a few blocks away and I cannot overemphasize how much my day-to-day life depends on Old Salts. It is the most dependable convenience store I've ever known. I have had some pretty busy weeks where I couldn't make it to the grocery store and was able to survive entirly on the goods sold at Old Salts. They have dog food, firewood, any breakfast food you could want, and a fantastic deli! Oh and the owners are extremely friendly and cooperative, rounding out a great shopping experience. If you are in Anacortes, Old Salts needs to be a priority destination!!!

Old Salts. You are my savior when I'm too lazy to drive across town for eggs and milk. I don't care that you charge extra for it. Are you technically a deli? No, you are not. You are something better. You are a little bit of everything all wrapped in one. Want some booze? Got you covered. Needing some bait? Check! How about an onion or batteries or a peace tea? Oh we got those too. If your are expecting the Taj Mahal (and probably visiting from Seattle) then I will recommend you drive about 45 minutes to Haggans. If you're just needing a snack and some supplies, this little local treasure will suffice. Also, the staff is fucking rad. Pro tip: grab a snack and head down the road to the beach. There are almost always porpoise swimming around the bay!

I went in to Old Salts, a place I have shopped many times before.... They have a good selection of things and are the last stop if you are going out to the smaller San Juan Islands. I was specifically looking for my father's favorite ice cream flavor and this is the only place in Anacortes that carries this brand. However, I was treated SO rudely that I would NEVER go back there and certainly recommend that no one shop there. My father went in slightly ahead of me as I had forgotten my mask. I am not sure the clerk understood we were together. So my dad goes to pay for his item as I am digging carefully through the 1/2 gallons of ice cream (as the other clerk had told me that they do get my father's flavor but only 2 at a time). I am not making any mess, not removing the ice cream from the freezer, simply looking as they are 3 or 4 deep. On the bottom layer there were a couple flavors I hadn't seen on top. The young man working there comes over after he had rung up my dad and asked "Can I help you?", and foolishly , I thought he wondered if I needed help. I told him I was just looking for a specific flavor. He said, "Well every layer is the same[totally NOT true] and you need to stop. You are making a mess of my system. You don't look like you need any ice cream anyway." Full disclosure, I am a larger woman who was just trying to do something nice for my 77year old dad as my mom JUST died of Alzheimer's.! These are the kind of people you would be giving your money to if you want to shop there. I don't think this is the owner and I feel like they deserve to know how they are being represented. This occurred at apx. 3:35-3:45 February 10. So I just said he ought to make a sign if you aren't allowed to move the ice cream and left. I was going to buy just plain vanilla and some milk and fix a flat... but I just left.

Super convenient. They have dang near anything you could need. Don't see it? Just ask. They probably got it. They have fair prices, friendly staff and great hours! They don't bat an eye when I walk in looking like I just crawled out of bed, because often that is the case-- especially when I don't feel up to the war of shopping at Safeway and just need a few things to get by. Thank you Old Salts! You are appreciated!

Great little Skyline neighborhood convenience store. People are friendly (feel like family). Most of the products are great but could be better if they carried a few higher quality products such as Edaleen milk and eggnog. Otherwise, keep it up!

This is a gas station. It is not a deli, "convenience store" or anything else the reviews claim it to be. It's a gas station store with nasty fluorescent lights and the faint smell of jerky + urine. Ridiculous.

Very nice convenient store. They have a large range of items: limes, coconut milk, onion soup mix, etc... Really nice owners. We always enjoy coming.
