Ola Gifts Cafe

Yoooo! The most amazing brunch spot I've been to in a long time. Someone needs to explain what I just ate. I've never had French toast like this in my life! Omelette was good too. You definitely have to try this spot!

Lauren's star rating: 3.8.The vibe felt right to me, though it's not somewhere you go to sit or do work. It's a small shop with no restroom, and just a couple bar seats at the window. They market their coffee as organic, but it wasn't anything spectacular flavor-wise. I enjoyed it well enough, but not the best coffee in Boston. It lacked the smoothness I usually gravitate towards. They have a ton of options for food (sandwich, smoothies, pastries, other misc breakfast food etc), and it seems like everything was pretty customizable. I enjoyed the lemon danish, just lemony enough, though the texture felt a little too dense and a bit soggy (though I am not a danish expert, so maybe this is normal?). In terms of prices though, this seems like the place to be! Everything felt really reasonable, and they had an egg and cheese croissant special for only a few bucks! I got a large black coffee, espresso, and a danish for 9.99 exactly, which feels like a Boston steal to me! The service speed was no well-oiled machine, but it fit the charm of this little cafe. There were only two people working, and there isn't a ton of room for all the things to be happening. This didn't bother me, but something to think about if you are in a rush. One weird thing, when I checked in on Yelp, a pop up for 2$ off came up, but when I presented it to the woman working, she said they don't do that. So beware of that! Overall, I can see myself stopping back by, especially when I'm in the area.

Nice place and very dog friendly. Lots of options for muffins and other tasty treats. They have dog treats and a photo board of their favorite dogs.

I can absolutely see myself coming back here! The person working was patient with how long it took me to decide. If you haven't been here before you'll appreciate this patience-the menu is long, and everything looks/is delicious!! I found myself caught between everything there was to offer. There are some unique flavors for coffee if that's your jam (I tried the french toast flavor and was delighted!) and was delighted to find that the coffee is fair trade. Stop by if you're ever in Somerville!

This is a good place to get a fast brunch or breakfast. Small seating inside and outside. Good food, good juices, good people. I visit it once or twice every month.

I visited Ola on a random walk one day when the weather was shockingly good. I feel bad leaving a 3 star review because I love small local cafes like Ola. It's a cute spot with coffee and smoothies and breakfast options. The smoothies looked nice. But I got an iced latte, breakfast sandwich and pastries for friends. The coffee was not great but just fine. The breakfast sandwich was good and there were so many options as well. I liked that they had guava pastry options. They didn't taste suuuuper fresh but it was again... fine. I'd definitely come back just because I like the sandwich options but good to set expectations! The service was also friendly and fast so definitely a plus.

A small breakfast joint packed with character. A must-see in East Somerville. The owner is super nice and makes the place very welcoming. The organic Americano is very watered down for a $5 dollar coffee.... but the chocolate brioche was pretty good.....

I cannot recommend Ola Cafe enough!! The baristas and employees are the sweetest and they are so welcoming every time :) The food is amazing and coffee is customized to your liking. Great selection of food as well. I'm a loyal customer of Ola Cafe for sure!
