Wolf's Bar-B-Que

Not happy at all last night if vacation come on. I would like to attend the show I previously paid for and waste my money and time.

The sauce is legendary in Oklahoma. The Stepeny name matters in the state and the service is on par with the respect that name brings. Recommend the ribs, chicken and all the sides, especially the baked beans.

My goodness this was good! I was at home and craving BBQ and got on Facebook and saw the hours and location. I've had this BBQ before at a high school football game about 5 years ago and it was great. When I pulled up I was greeted warmly and the owner commented on my T-shirt (it was a screen print of 1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass) we chatted while someone inside made my food. The service was quick, my brisket was chopped while I waited and all my food was hot. I don't like sauce and declined it. I got the 2 meat sandwich and it came with 1/2lb total of two meats and baked beans and bread. I am not baked bean fan. When I got home I happily ate the meat and bread and tasted the beans. They were good but again I don't like them. The next day I warmed up the rest of the brisket and mixed it with the baked beans. IT WAS AMAZING!!!! I will be eating here again and again and getting more of those beans and tender ribs and brisket.

Always ate Leo's growing up. Wolfs does it just the same. Still the best baked beans in town no question!

I was at Pumpkinville during the lunch hour one day, and being short on time, decided to check out the BBQ truck hanging out right outside the entrance.The woman in front of me ordered quite a bit, but I patiently waited while listening to the *thunk thunk thunk* that reverberated from inside this truck. I knew that noise, and it meant someone was chopping some BBQ. My stomach was ready for this.I ordered the 1/4 chopped beef sandwich, which comes with a side of beans and either mild or hot sauce. The chef/owner (? I presume) chose mild for me, which was fine with me. My wimpy esophagus doesn't love spicy things anyways, and I had no Tums.I went and grabbed a shady table, and quickly tucked in. The meat was pretty tender, with only a small amount of gristle (which is to be expected). The sauce was tasty. Where this BBQ master really shines though is his baked beans. There were bits of pork in them, along with a myriad (like the gardens...ha) of flavors. It was definitely on the sweet side, but not candy-like.I only have one complaint. He serves his sandwiches on cheap white bread. I ended up skipping it, and if I went back, would tell him no bread. He needs to find a good bakery and get some heavy rolls to serve the BBQ on. It would make a world of difference in the sandwich. I know some people like the white bread, but let's be honest, it is just not as good.Overall though, this is really good BBQ, and I think there is a lot of potential. I wonder if he has some good mac and cheese to go along with his ribs?

The best Bar-B-Que I've ever eaten was Wolf's. I drive all across Oklahoma and always stop at obscure BBQ places to see if anybody could top the old Tom's BBQ, which I use as a benchmark. Tom's was located at NE 10th and I-35 and was open from 1964 until a few years ago. The ribs at Wolf's had no fat and a pink smoke ring from the dark brown bark to the bone. They were juicy and tender. The sauce is Mahogany in color and is the only sauce I've tried that is better than Tom's. To me this says a lot. Nobody has topped Tom's BBQ sauce until now. The Hot BBQ sauce is excellent but the Mild sauce is nothing less that spectacular and outstanding! It is the perfect sauce made with love and soul.

Super good BBQ and very good service. Best bbq I've had in OK. Will definitely be returning! Great portions and great quality.

Best BBQ in OKC not in a restaurant! I tried the beef and ribs by the pound! Very flavorful and tender! I started eating the meat before I could think about sides and bbq sauce! But after my first mouth full I poured on some "mild sauce" and it married up the BBQ perfect! 5 Stars! I will be back!
