"Worth the Ride..." Stillwater Powersports

A very typical bad dealership experience. I would never buy another machine from Wilson Powersport again, which is unfortunate because we were already considering a second purchase. While the service department crew, the finance guy who took our check, and the delivery guy were all rock solid--truly five-star individuals--the sales team was a different story. It turns out that unless the inventory is inside the showroom, it's stored out back in the open without any cover, and some vehicles even lack roofs. Who knows how long they've been sitting outside getting soaked. As someone who takes excellent care of their equipment, I was shocked by this lack of care. When we arrived, we were shown a machine that looked wrecked and were told it was likely being used for parts. We insisted we did NOT want that machine and were assured they had another one in inventory. However, after paying the full purchase price upfront, we were sent a picture of our machine in progress. To our dismay, it was the same one we had specifically declined. We were then told that the other machine had been "transferred to another store." Conveniently, the machine we saw outside was now being "cleaned up" and getting a light bar installed. Upon delivery, we found a couple of rust spots on the frame and noticed that they had used an absurd amount of Armor All to cover any signs of wear. If they had thought to replace the soaked manuals in the glove box, they might have succeeded in covering up the truth.Overall, this was a deeply disappointing experience. Buyer beware.

I tried two other power sport dealers before finding Wilson (Stillwater) Power Sports. I was in the market for a Can Am X3 Max X Turbo RR with Smart Shocks. I also wanted a specific color. The other two dealers either tried to screw me on my trade in or said there weren't any X3s in the color I wanted in the entire state. Then I contacted Wilson Power Sports and more specifically Lane. Once I told Lane what I was looking for he says, "We just happen to have one of those in stock". At this point we are just texting back and forth for 10 minutes. When Lane drops the price of the X3 by almost $5000. (Counting a $3000 Can Am Rebate Program). So to make a long story short, they gave me a fair price for my trade in and a great deal on a top of the line Maverick X3 Max. I had an awesome experience at Wilson PS. Well worth the 80 mile drive to Stillwater.

We are from MN on a dirt bike riding trip. Stillwater Power Sports went above and beyond to help my little guy out with some back brakes. Wish we had a dealership this willing to go the extra mile back home!

I have bought multiple buggies from these guys. Two Ranger xp's. They are about average on price. Not saying they are high, I'm saying I haggled with others to call and get the same up front. Where they separate them selves from the competition is the way they are willing to stop what they are doing to make your problems theirs. They understand what you are going threw and make it right. I use my Rangers for work and play and they are the best on the market. I put them to the test often and they perform perfectly. But when I broke a axle at work they brought me a buggy to use while they fixed mine. The new Ranger XP 1000 is a beast. I ordered a bunch of add ons, I had big plans for the weekend. The parts came in Friday and they worked till after close so I could take it. Thanks guys.

Had a great experience. Worked with Kim and she helped shoot me over info before I made the drive up from Dallas. The price was unreal and the bike was exactly as described. The apr and financing was easy with no hidden gimmicks. They even helped me load the bike. All around awesome. Thanks guys!

Dropped off a little V-Star 250 to have them do a once-over and check some struggles with down-shifting and that I needed to run it partially choked. I also mentioned that it may not have had an oil change and let me know what they thought it needed and let me know because the bike isn't worth all that much to begin with. They said they'd get back to me in about two days, but definitely by Friday (3rd day). Called on Thursday before close -- they said probably Friday, but maybe Saturday morning. Nothing. Tuesday near COB, they called saying they found nothing with shifting, had already done a $230 oil change (which also included a short ride on which he could not duplicate the shifting issue) without calling with the estimate. They then wanted around another $300 to clean the carburetor and adjust the brakes. I'm picking it up and going elsewhere. You should do the same.

Bought a used Yamaha Rhino, so took it here for an oil change and inspection. After picking it up I asked for details on the inspection and they couldn't provide any. Two weeks later the Rhino broke down, so I took it somewhere else and was told it was something an inspection should of easily caught, so in reality I paid $200 for an oil change and they lied about the inspection. Wouldn't recommend their service department.
