Wells Christmas Tree Farm

We came a public event at Well's Family Tree farm to receive some Virginia pine bare root seedlings. Jesse met us at the gate and explained the tree farm operations and care for the trees. He was very thorough and friendly throughout our entire conversation. We loved learning about the vision for their farm and for the trees they are graciously sharing with the public. Jesse dug up 8 trees for us to take home. We have land with a plan to build about 6 miles away from the tree farm and we cannot wait to get our trees in the ground and start the next chapter. I highly recommend connecting with the tree farm as they offer a wide variety of events and services beyond simply Christmas trees. Our experience at the seedling event has encouraged us to be frequent customers of their tree farm!

Wells' Family Christmas Tree farm is something special. As you would expect, this family-owned local business provides you not just with a tree to take home, but also the experience of picking just the right tree for your family's Christmas celebration.They carry a large assortment of trees and wreaths, varying in size, species, and even have novelty painted trees. You'll be able to warm up with a cup of hot chocolate near the camp-fire or even get your picture taken in their life-size snow globe or with their 1963 Ford Econoline Pickup. You may come for a tree, but you'll make it part of your family's tradition because of the experience.Oh, Wells also hosts many events throughout the year, include puppy yoga and movie nights under the stars. It's a beaut, Clark! Last night, my husband and I went to the tree farm for an outdoor movie; Christmas Vacation. We hadn't been before, but we were in mind to try something different for a date night. As the weather was expected to be in the 40s temp., we donned our plaid shirt jackets, gloves, caps, etc. we took a large heavy blanket and some old fashioned thermos bottles full of decaf coffee. Once there, we felt like we stepped into quite an experience. The movie was showing and there were nice rows and rows of camping chairs full of people intently watching. (We arrived a few minutes late). What was strange is that it was eerily quiet! We found a place to spread our blanket and then settled in to watch. We laughed out loud at all the many parts that were so funny, however no one else laughed! How could this be?!? It was so silent. If it wasn't so cold you would have heard crickets! We continued to laugh, trying not to break the spell everyone was under.During the movie, we grabbed two sandwiches and two waters from the food truck.. Almost $25! They were okay, but too high for the quality. Also, we were very excited about having a hot piece of pie and sipping coffee. This food truck only served cold, cream pies. While very good, not ideal for this outdoor weather. The tree farm had a large fire pit. If you needed to warm a bit. Overall, we had a great time sitting outdoors, laughing (albeit alone and surrounded by ghostly figures wrapped in blankets all slumped in chairs), and sipping coffee while watching a great Christmas classic. The event was extremely well organized. Thank you to the Wells family for making this possible.We would definitely recommend, and perhaps make this a new tradition! We'll bring friends next time! By the way.... Why is the picnic blanket all wet, Todd?!?

This place is so special. When you first drive in, you immediately get a good feeling. The tree farm is so cute and their staff is super friendly and welcoming. My kids love playing with the bean bag toss game and ping pong at the ping pong table that is set up. We went last year for the first time and seriously got the best tree we've ever bought. It was a great price, it was beautiful, and it lasted a long time. We just got our trees tonight and I can't wait to get home to decorate. We love The Wells Family Tree Farm!! A definite holiday must!

This was our first trip to Wells Family Tree Farm, we had a blast looking for our tree. The owners /staff were amazing. Very helpful and accommodating. We will definitely return.

Such an awesome, beautiful Christmas tree farm experience. The farm is truly wonderful. Great friendly folks that were super helpful and made our experience perfect. First time visiting and will be going back next year. They got a great setup with a snack shack, fire pit, gift shop, santa, music on the weekends. Great selection of trees and variety of sizes. This is our 2nd year going to Wells Family Tree Farm! Great place to take family to pick out a tree! Games to keep kids busy, coffee or hot cocoa. This is definitely our pick to get a tree from! Friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful staff!
