Good food, good people, homey comfortable atmosphere. I love it. Wife and grandkids had an assortment of breakfast stuff and I had fried catfish with mashed potatoes & okra. All delicious. Our servers were so sweet and even gave my granddaughters little homemade bracelets. Very welcoming place, we'll definitely be back.

Yes yes and more yes! Hungry for breakfast much? Make the trip to west Tulsa and get your fill of quality downhome country food. I tell you from omelletes to an amazing hand breaded chicken fried steak you cant go wrong here. I for one like those hidden diners that are no frills but offer amazingly yummy food that doesnt skimp on quality or quantity. If you leave hungry here you probably shared your plate with too many folks at your table!!Another big plus here is service. It is hard nowadays to find folks who are genuinely friendly and tenarive and you get both here!Bottom line this spot is one of my breakfast go tos and I look forward to dining here for years to come!

Don't remember how I first found this place, but I've been several times the past couple of years, sometimes for breakfast, sometimes for lunch, usually solo. My favorite item on the menu is the pot roast for lunch. It comes with carrots and potatoes so don't make the mistake I did and order mashed potatoes as one of my sides. Now I usually get green beans and okra. The staff are always very pleasant, service prompt and the prices just right. It's just good home cooking in a very nice local restaurant.

I've been here a few times and I have to say they make a pretty good breakfast! It's one of those hole in the wall places but the food is good and I've always had good service. They have very reasonable prices too! They also serve a good lunch. It's homestyle cooking on the west side!

I came in earlier with a group of family and friends and noticed who I assume was the owner in the back was being very rude to the waitresses and staff. Even with them being rude and outrageous to the ladies the servers still provided amazing service and treated us amazing, they were very kind and constantly made sure we had what we needed. Plus the food was so overpriced.

Service food all nasty. Food for table of 3 arrives in shifts first person food then 10 minutes 2nd person then another 10 min last person finally gets meal while everyone else is done or waited to eat as a group and food was cold. Many. Laugh and said bummer to my granddaughter said her salad bowl was full of water on bottom.

I have ate at the Union Street Cafe countless times over the years. For the most part, I always thought this was a great place to go. However, things have changed.First and foremost, if you if order any type of cola product, you are served a 20oz bottle that you could purchase at a convenience store, and charged $3 for the privilege. You are not offered any refills. The 2nd problem is that they are not forthcoming with their prices.I have ordered the taco salad countless times over the years, and every time I've ordered it with extra salsa. I've never been charged for the extra salsa, until recently and without notice. If their food costs have gone up, and they need to charge more, it is perfectly okay to raise their menu prices. If they wish to charge for extras, they need to say so when you order. To pad my bill without warning is unacceptable. How hard is it for the waitress to let you know there is an extra charge for something? Especially something that they have never charged before?I don't mind paying for the things I receive, but I completely object to hidden/surprise fees and charges.I originally thought this was a nice to place to dine, however I now feel they are more interested in applying hidden charges to my bill than providing me with a worthwhile dinning experience.Edit: I gave this place 1 star because:With every restaurant I've ever gone to in my life, I've always known what I owed at the end of the meal (menu prices), but with the Union Street Cafe, you simply don't know what they will attempt to charge you.

This diner offers everything you could expect from a classic, American diner. From the friendly service to the delicious and hearty food, this place exceeded expectations and left all of us content with our meals and ready to continue on our road trip. It was the perfect stop to have a good bite to eat and revive spirits. The food was warm, scrumptious, and the environment was calm and gave off hometown feels, despite being smack dab in the middle of the craziness that is Tulsa. Overall, would travel the 9 hours again to eat this patty melt.
