U Shabu Japanese Hot pot

The food was exceptional!The price is definitely worth it if you go for their premium unli deal as you have access to everything including the sides.Service was great despite the server being only on handling everyone when we went ther.She was very helpful and very friendly. The ambiance is great despite being simple and straightforward. Definitely can't wait to go back here!

I love eating at U Shabu. I have tried their lunch and dinner menu. Both are delicious and have a lot of options. They have several flavors of broth. If you ask they'll let you sample a little before you start dining. However whichever broth you choose, that's the one you stay with during the meal. They provide you with a sheet of paper and you put down what you want each time you order. You can eat as much as you want. You cook our own meats, noodles, and veggies. You get dipping sauces. Let me tell you it is SO good! I'm salivating just writing this review. I've tried almost everything and nothing is bad here. The food is always fresh, plentiful, and the service is top notch. I love coming here and I recommend them to everyone!

I apologize for all of the reviews but I love this place and come here all the time. Today's lunch was special--every seat in the place was filled and one waiter! (Jon Taffer on Bar Rescue would call this a stress test.) Patrick (waiter) did great--poised, polite, and worked his tail off. (He called someone to assist him 1/2 way through and the team came through!) The food was amazing as always! Some people even ordered the whole menu. Will keep returning and am glad the place is taking off and people are learning how good it is!

Came back to retry this AYCE hotpot in Edmond. One month has passed, and the restaurant has improved. The sukiyaki soup is better based on my friend's impression. I tried the miso broth this time. The menu is unchanged, not the most inclusive AYCE hotpot menu. Meats are vegetables are fresh. I am still not a fan of the fish, tilapia - has small bones inside, tasted fishy if not being over cooked. Wagyu has a lot of fat, suspecting fatty brisket, while ribeye has no fat at all, don't know what meat it is. One server running the whole restaurant but it was not busy. The biggest issue with U Shabu is the controlled environment taking away from the whole do-it-yourself experience. You have to ask the server for everything: sauce, condiments, temperature adjustment of the hotpot. The customers have no control in any of these aspects. Having been to other do-it-yourself hotpot restaurants, the experience felt uncomfortable at times. Am I asking too much? Am I too demanding? Am I eating too much? All these aspects felt too monitored, taking away the relaxed nature of an all-you-can-eat hotpot experience.

This used to be Muu Shabu (which I felt was slightly better) but still very decent Shabu Shabu. Only downside is they charge the more expensive dinner rate on the weekends even for lunch! Boo! If they kept the lunch rate on Sat-Sun I think they would have double the business. Quality of meat is fresh and their fried rice & noodles are also solid. Appetizers good as well and desserts include sesame ice cream (rarer). Service also very attentive and prompt. One comment on the decor - wish they had facing tables but they only have ones where you sit side-by-side. Recommended (more for lunch)!

It was an incredible experience! Their service was so good and the food was really delicious. I felt a little overwhelmed at first, but our server did a great job of explaining everything and helping me understand how everything worked!

Okay, so we were soooo excited about this place and the host had us sooo entertained that I completely forgot to take pictures. Luckily my son took a single picture that I will use but we will be going back and I will take more. U Shabu is such an experience. It's fun, it's interactive, it's fresh, and it's just plain tasty!! On top of that, our host, Patrick was by far the BEST host/waiter I have ever met. He was so funny and nice and never left us alone for long. It did help that there were only 3 sets of customers but that doesn't matter to me, he deserves a raise. There are no tables, it is a bar seating situation so I am glad that there weren't very many people. The food was so fresh and the soup options were great. And they have unlimited appetizers at dinner. We have been to Lemongrass and this place blows them out of the water. Not with abundance of options but with freshness. Lemongrass had me a little concerned we might get sick (we didn't) but we will never go back. With that being said, this place is a bit expensive. I don't eat much so I really relied on my kids to eat my money's worth. My son had no complaints. He got his fill of appetizers along with his hotpot. Please don't sleep on U Shabu!!!

My family tried U Shabu in Edmond for lunch. $15 all you can eat shabu shabu (hot pot) I wish it was in Norman as I would go there a lot! I really liked the sukiyaki soup base and all the meat was good. My favorite thing was the chikuwa fish cake. I think I could have eaten my weight in them! My son and daughter (19) liked it a lot too! My son wants to go to there for dinner on his birthday!

Soooo delicious and fun!!!! We love this place. You decide what you want to pair together from broth - noodle- meat- veggie and then you cook it all infront of you in your own hot pot! I'm craving it just talking about it! Try it out!
