The art district is one of the main reasons we include Oklahoma (Tulsa) into Missouri Arkansas adventure. The hilton curio collection in the art deco area is interesting. The curio hotels are worth stop even if u don't stay there. In addition to art shops ... love the strret murals.

Even though there are a few store fronts closed, it's still a great place to take visitors. I took an out of town guest there recently....What do do with the 15 year old nephew? He said he wanted to go to downtown Tulsa. The Arts District it was.Even in the 102 heat, it was still cool :) Parking was easy on a Thursday afternoon. We visited Made, Magic City, Ida Red, and Antionette and experienced Guthrie Green. (I pointed out the Woody Guthrie and Bob Dylan Centers, Cain's, and the ever growing upward OKPop museum. Not sure he was impressed.)Many great places to stop in for a beverage (or snack) along the way.

This area of coolness is exploding on the Tulsa scene. Seriously. From museums, an outdoor amphitheater, all kinds of nightlife, and some of Tulsa's best local dining experiences you can't go wrong!Where do I start? Oh ya, FOOD. I could eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner in this area daily and love every second of it. From Chimera's famous breakfast tacos and coffee to Laffa's Greek salad to Brady Tavern's burger my belly would be well satisfied. Museums like the new Woody Guthrie Center and Philbrook downtown are absolutely astounding. High quality works and artifacts are displayed and the building's design is set to impress. The Guthrie Green is what I consider the heart of the Brady Arts District. The community it builds with free events such as concerts, fitness activities, movie screenings, etc. has done so much for Tulsa in the short year it's been around. Nightlife here will tickle anyone's fancy! Grab a beer at a local dive bar, feel enchantedly charmed at Valkryie with crafted drinks, or bust a move with a drink in hand at a hot night spot. Or... all of the above! Have you heard of First Friday Art Walks? Don't miss this growing event, everyone. Every first Friday of the month the district hosts an art crawl showcasing some of Tulsa's best artists and the streets are alive with talent!Brady Arts, you have a piece of my heart!
