I called for an estimate to install a gas starter in my fireplace... even explaining I was in the Navy and also a Registered Nurse, he wanted to charge over $60 just for an estimate... when I asked about waving it, re replied that's how I set up my business! Would NOT recommend TIPTON'S PLUMBING!

Backstory:I have a tankless water heater that stopped working years ago. Since I moved into this house, I have not used the master bathroom until now. I had a company come out, and they gave me an outrageous quote of over 2k to replace the tankless water heater. The company called me and told me they had difficulty finding the unit to replace the old one; it might take months. So I ended up looking for a new service I found and called Tipton's. Tipton's sent out a gentleman named Luis. Luis replaced the unit on the spot for a quarter of the price the other company quoted me. Embarrassingly I forgot to tip him! Now:My sprinkler system burst during the last bad ice storm. I finally called to get it repaired, and I called Tipton's first because Luis was so excellent the first time. Not only did he fix the sprinkler, but he also did it quickly and for less than the appraisal. The first appraisal guy said they might have to dig up our driveway, which we had expected. Luis did the job without digging up the driveway, and I know his work is solid because our water heater has worked perfectly. THANK YOU, LUIS, from Tipton's plumbing!Message to you:Finding reliable, ethical, and good people with good morals is hard. Luis is that person, I can't speak for other people at Tipton's, but all my dealing with them have been honest, helpful, and reliable. I would recommend Tipton's, but I will only ask for Luis, and if he is not available, I will wait ( He is that awesome.).Other reviews, I don't understand why people from other states are reviewing them. If they moved from here and used them, my experience with them was different.

Called for a quote, guy blatantly made fun of me on the line for asking for clarification.He said there was a minimum fee and then they'd come up with a price later. When I asked how much he thought it would be for our specific needs, he said he'd give me three prices. He then repeated the same vague answer three times in his patronizing, verbatim drone and continued to say everything in the same repetitive way. I might have felt belittled by someone of 'superior intelligence' but the guy couldn't even pronounce Nikon right.It's a relief to see I'm not the only one who is of the same opinion. Their family company claim just means that the worst people stay hired.

The owner sent me a racist message saying that he hopes I'm an America and can prove it just because I updated my review because a yelper asked me if my plumbing problem was fixed by Andy's plumbing still works. I updated my review to say yes. Then Tipton plumbing (owner sent that racist remark to me when i am a United States citizen) just because he did a bad job doesn't give him the right to attack me with a racist remarks. He didn't fix my problem, over charged me and I had to use someone else so the problem is his plumbing skills and he quoted me 4,000ish to fix a sewer line which that wasn't the problem. I paid Andy's 145 and it's been working ever since for the last 3 years. He can't fix the plumbing don't attack me with racist remarks....oh check out tiptons google reviews because most of them said the same thing that he overcharges and doesn't do the job right. I wish I read it before I used him.

Luis Mia showed up to fix my water heater. The plumber was professional and seemed knowledgeable. He charged me $853 to drain a water heater and replace two heating elements. It was less than an hour worth of work. I called Zach Tipton to complain afterward and he did nothing but make sarcastic smart comments. He does not handle problems well and has no idea how to deal with customers. I finally got him to give me the price for the parts. It was $74 in parts according to Zach Tipton plus a $65 service call. That means they charged me $714 for labor. It says right on their yelp add that "Satisfaction in Guaranteed" that is definately not true. Avoid this overpriced unprofessional business.Update: I called the manufacturer of the water heater and all parts replaced are under warranty. Zach Tipton refuses to file a claim to the parts department so that I can get a refund because "I am a liar that goes on the internet and tells lies". They offer military discounts but he mocked my military and police service during our 30 min phone conversation after asking me what I do for a living.Owner of the business did later call me and offer me a $100 discount off the service if I take down my review and sign a paper saying that I am satisfied but even when he is trying to be civil he can't help but make sarcastic comments, threats, and unreasonable demands.

I was not told of the $65 dollar charge just for an estimate. I cancelled when I asked the second time, called back to confirm with the boss, whoever answered was rude. Do not use them and ask about pricing before they arrive! I already have paid someone to tell me the drain needs replacing. They missed out on a big job!Then the owner messaged a response to my private cell. Creepy. I had to block. I will complain to Yelp.

Came to house 10-3-22 to unclog toliet which was backing up in tub. The 30 minute job cost $295 (originally 325 until I asked to reduce). It is 10-20-22 and the problem still exists (gradually since 10-3-22). I called for them to come back out, and he first noted to me was "the one who haggled on price". They said they would come back out for $250.00. I noted it should be no charge, and he stated to me "good luck with that". I hung up. Too expensive and does stand by work. Would never use again (and I used before 10-3-22). DO NOT CALL THEM. The only thing they have going is their same day service. Will file claim with BBB.

I had an emergency leak under my kitchen sink! I called Tiptons and they immediately sent Louis out and in a matter of two hours it was fixed! So professional! Thanks so much!

I should have known they were awful based on the fact they could come within the hour. Total rip off company. Wanted to charge 3x what other companies were charging and I already had all of the parts! AND they make you pay just to come out. Most companies will give you a free estimate. I think these guys are going around collecting service fees and then writing estimates for outlandish and insane prices but making $45! Pretty good gig if you do it enough times a day. Dishonest, horrible. NEVER again.

Timely and great service. Luis did a fantastic job even though it turned out to be more difficult than it originally seemed. He explained everything and even cleaned up after himself. Very happy with Tipton's.
