Thermal Windows

Extremely upset. They, at best, were accidentally deceitful. They majorly oversold us on new windows that would provide enormous noise reduction (virtually soundproof to normal road noise, with the only exception of loud exhaust, which we agreed was acceptable). Nothing could have been further from the truth. It did not change the road noise literally at all!! And when they were informed of this, they did nothing to resolve this besides a tiny bit off the cost. Instead of, for instance, actually providing windows that do what they said they would. The ONLY reason we got the new windows was for the noise reduction, so now we are out nearly $2k for NOTHING. Had they been honest and upfront we could have chosen someone else to do our windows that would have actually fulfilled their promises and their job. Do not trust them or use their services.

We ae very pleased with our model 9900 SGD XO DG CS36 white patio door with legacy painted handle (feels like smooth baked on enamel and the flip lock is easier for arthritic hands to operate), glass breakage warranty, Argon gas filled panels and stainless-steel track. The keyed-lock flip handle is so much easier to operate than the lock on our previous patio door. We had to replace the rollers on our previous other-brand door several times over 30 years. Having the Thermal Windows Inc lifetime limited warranty which will cover the rollers being replaced, if necessary, is a real comfort as husband is no longer able to make those kinds of repairs. It took nearly 3 months to get the custom-made door built and installed. The door screen was delivered ripped and a tiny part, the Charlie saddle was broken which took another month to replace. It has now been over a month since installation was final and the door operates very smoothly and all components appear top quality. We are happy with door and service. Long term satisfaction is what is important to us.

Thermal Windows replaced the windows in my wife's sitting room a few years back and did a great job at a very reasonable price. So I called them again in January to set up replacement of four additional windows. The windows were installed yesterday, and I could not be more pleased with the result. The windows are excellent quality with superior double locking systems and look great. The installation, performed by two very polite and personable young men, was done quickly and efficiently with a thorough cleanup before leaving. I'm really glad I called Thermal again. If I need any additional windows or doors in the future, Thermal will be my only call.Thank you!

07/22/2024 Update: John Batts their General Manager contacted my husband about the review and the issues with our order. He wanted to do whatever we needed to make this right. He offered us discounts etc. We declined the discount as the windows are exactly what we ordered and not what we were unhappy with and they were a fair price at the time of order. We are very pleased with the appearance of the windows. It seems the factory put the windows aside and "lost" them in their processes since it was such a small order. My review still stands on the customer service side of their business. There needs to be more follow-through from the sales and it should not fall on one person in their office to take care of issues after the fact. Brian went above and beyond to make our issue right. Sales should be following through with their orders for verification of meeting the company's promises no matter how small the order.We appreciate the call back from their GM, but the best thing for us is to let it go and for Thermal Windows to maybe make some changes to improve their processes.

After the tornado of 2010, they were the only company I called that would send someone to get a quote. They came the next day and gave me a quote on the spot for every window in my house. They told me lifetime guarantee on the glass if it ever gets broken. We haven't had any break but in the last 13 years they have came out and adjusted the counter balance in windows that lost residence They have also repaired and replaced two of three of my doors after I showed them my problems while they were here, just before the warranty ended. I didn't even know they were still under warranty. I was prepared to replace but they checked their records and. repaired one and replaced the other no charge. Were they cheap no but have they been straight and honest with me. Well if your reading this you know they did right by me. Bills decreased and not much noise but we don't hear much going on outside since they were installed.
