The Rodeo

Great place with great food! The Rodeo has become a staple in our family for the comfortable atmosphere and welcoming environment...not mentioned good food. They have a good mix of home style food and Tex-Mex favorites!

Good place for fresh made food at reasonable prices. We had the steak fingers lunch special and a combination Mexican dinner. Both were good although I was surprised the taco was in a flour tortilla instead of a crisp shell. The salad that came with the steak fingers was especially tasty. Also tried the strawberry cream pie, one of a good selection of pies made by area Minnomite women. It was pretty good.Excellent service, too.

Pretty good TexMex and American comfort food. Friendly staff, interesting rodeo themed decor. We tried the chicken fried steak, the Philly cheesesteak and the lunchtime burrito special. All were delicious! We'll be back.....

In town for business and had to give a try. Great service, great atmosphere, great food! I had the fresh made steak fingers (these are hard to come by), mashed potatoes and corn. Delicious! The rolls are on point! If you are hungry for a good home cooked meal, this plan is a must.

A decent restaurant in okmulgee is hard to find as it is is far most smaller Oklahoma towns.The Rodeo is a cute themed eatery that leans into its country roots.A Mexican restaurant with a generous selection of Americano offerings with the practical venue of a barn like dining area The food is passable with mild level of spice.Good for small groups or a small event.

Server She did not say her name. But, she was helpful with the WiFi. Our server seemed to be the only one without a name badge. After bringing the food, she poofed. Did not see her again. She finally returned. Ambiance This place is a hodge podge of tex-mex and AmericanFoodThe chips n salsa arrived Pronto, and the chips were warm. The salsa tasted canned (tinny).The Pollo con Queso was served quite warm. It came with flour tortillas and a hot bed of seasoned Mexican rice. The chicken was very tender and the accompaning side order of grilled shrimp was very good.The Pollo Felix was "wonderful" The beans tasted homemade and fresh.Overall Most of the servers smiled as they walked by our table. The food is quite good. But, sadly the downside is the servers. I get the place is busy. But, dang...Military They do not have a Military discount, but they claim that there is a senor discount.

The first time i purchased Mexican, a Polo con-queso. Literally chicken with no flavor with a slightly spicy cheese poured over top. rice and beans that was inedible. While there the people next to me ordered steak, and man it looked good. And i love steak (If you follow my belly rubs you would have already known that). So, this time I ordered a Rib-Eye steak (Medium), Loaded baked potato and a salad. The only thing that was even close to decent on this meal was the salad! (It is rated as an appetizer above). I get the steak and the potato and man it looks good. I mean right out of a magazine good! I cut into it, and it is well done! (So well done that when I was done consuming what i could, there was very little juices at all on the plate). The flavor of the steak, what little there was had the freezer burnt flavor of meat. There was no salt or pepper used at all during the cooking process. The Potato was a warm raw potato with the fixings on it. Looked good, literally could only smash parts of it. Oh well. Then my waitress plaid peekaboo with me for the next 15 minutes! never saw her again until she came out with the check. One of the worse $40 meals I have ever eaten or tried to consume. Stick a fork in it. It's done! It's Toast, Fat boy has sadly left the building and will not be back. Had lunch at Rodeos today- they were very busy & I loved my #9 lunch special, my only complaint was my husband's hamburger steak was a little tough & the waitress didn't listen at all to what he wanted for sides ...my husband's order was wrong but never said anything...I just think she was overwhelmed & needs to relax & just concentrate on her customers seated

I'm not sure how some other rate this any less than 5 stars.Food was amazing, the service was timely and attentive.The owner stopped by many time to see how things were.I was driving through for work and caught this restaurant out of the corner of my eye, glad I stopped and got to enjoy it.
