Bad business policies, front office lacks professionalism. Always some hidden fee. Buyer beware

Apartment 212 has black mold. We were 25 days behind on our rent and they evicted us; we had 15 min to grab essentials and then leave the property. Then, we were told we had 30 days and one chance to retrieve our things. So we find somewhere to stay. We call on Monday about figuring out a date to come and get our belongings. Not that simple, apparently. We had to pay the rent we owed, the court costs for the eviction, then they would do a walk-through the apt and figure out what they felt we owed in extra charges, and every day our things were there, was an extra $33.00. We go get our items, after paying over $3100.00 (which was 17 days after the initial eviction) and find that they have boxed up ALL of our belongings. EVERYTHING. And it's all labeled with according to what was in the box AND to go to a place in Huston, Texas for sale. They were packaging our things for auction in Texas before the month was even over. Also, there was a box they had labeled "Important Docs." It was all of our mail, bills, taxes, etc., and was also going to Texas to be sold. They were going to sell our freaking identity. When they did their walk-through, they billed us for "mold." We didn't know if that was for the shower mold, like as if it hadn't been cleaned in a while, or actual real mold. Well, we realized when we went to get our things, it was real mold. Black mold. Covering the closet ceiling and the back wall where our clothes were, so we had no idea it was even there. And even if we did, how would it be OUR fault that black mold started growing in our apt? Do they think we wanted it there? Anyway, this apartment complex is the worst place I've ever lived my entire life. The people are heartless, selfish, and evil. I'm glad to be rid of them.

I just moved out of The Renaissance after three years and have nothing but praises for my time here. The location is great, the grounds are beautiful, swimming pool is fun, and the complex is quiet. Never had a problem with neighbors or parking. Any issues needing maintenance were dealt with promptly. The manager and office staff went the extra mile to be friendly and accommodating and worked to foster a sense of community. They even emailed a list of storm shelters in Norman in case of severe weather. Nice!

This place is a JOKE!!! When we moved out they claimed that the last four months we were living there our utilities were not included in our rent statement. Which we were NEVER notified about. They said it was a "glitch" in their system, which is not our problem. I went back and looked at our rent statements and everything was included in the rent for those months. They scammed us out of our security deposit. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. I would give them no stars if possible.

Great location and easy access to OU. Clean, cute and very spacious apartments. The grounds are well kept and there is room for dogs and kids to play. You don't feel like you're crammed into a small space as most apartment complexes across Norman tend to be designed. Being a pet-friendly complex, there is a small fenced dog park supplied with plenty of bags. The office staff are professional and friendly; and the maintenance crew are responsive when an issue arises.
