Automatic 5 stars from me. I go here all the time and it truely rocks. If you are into live, local bands this is the place to go. But be warned, the music performed here is raw, loud, hard, and true metal. So if you're looking for Maroon 5 sounding music or if you're a huge fan of the suburban pop punk melodies that overun the radio these days, then you're in for a culture shock. The guys comment about smoke is true. I am a smoker and I can endure the atmosphere. There is also a huge ammount of smoke emmited from the stage fog machine during shows,Other than that, railhead is worth checking out. It's the only bar I go to and I recommend it to any groovy rockers.

The Railhead Saloon may not seem like much, especially from the exterior as viewed from Sheridan Road. However, it is currently the best place in Lawton to see hard rock music performed live. And I do mean HARD rock music. Sometimes there's death metal bands, industrial bands and then a slew of other neo-punk style groups. Overall, prepare for some loud volume. I also like the place since they stock Fosters. Not too many bars feature that kind of "oil can" beer. You either have to visit that place or buy a steak over at Outback Steakhouse. Gotta deduct at least one star from an otherwise good review over the cigarette smoke. There's not much space inside the club. An open door seems to be the only ventilation. The lack of parking is another drawback. If a well publicized show happens you'll have to get their early for a parking space in the lot.

What can I say about the Railhead? Besides the ominous feeling of being stabbed while in the disgusting male bathroom, or the general lack of any cleaning products in the entire bar.The smells like a horses ass marinated in piss.Stiff drinks and friendly fast service.

I love this place. Moved from Philly last year and it is quite different than the trendy hipster bars I usually frequented. What has won me over are the people. I have never met a rude person or felt unsafe. Everyone from Kay, Raf and every patron has been warm and welcoming. The vibe is different every time I go. Pointers: be prepared for cigarette smoke and for it to be loud when bands are playing. I keep ear plugs in my car.

Never had a bad time here! Miss Kay is awesome and knows what she's doing! Rafy is a great bartender as well and I love the regulars to death! Railhead really becomes more like a crazy family reunion every weekend with some great music.
