Robert came out to fix our napoleon and he was amazing! He was very knowledgeable, explained everything to us and very responsive. Him and the other gentleman that was with him. The worst customer service ever. 3x we were given times our insert would be installed (keep in mind due to issues out of their control it had been 4 months since we bought) 3x times no one showed, no one called - no communication at all by them. I called after the first two times but after 3rd no show/no call we just asked for a refund for something I had so wanted for so long.......Didn't seem to phase anyone so keep in mind before you go here!

Our fireplace was installed, by The Hearth Shop, seven years ago when our house was built. A couple weeks ago, I noticed the pilot light was out. I called The Hearth Shop and asked if they could service it. The man that answered the phone told me their records didn't go back that far but he was willing to schedule a service call for me. He told me a technician would be able come out in two or three days and would call me before arriving. The next day, the technician called me and said his schedule changed and he was able to come over after, "I complete this current job and I get cleaned up." He completely cleaned the unit and logs, lit the pilot light, and got the unit working. He then showed me how to light the pilot light myself should it go out again and also shared some tips about how to manage the unit during the summertime. My family didn't use the fireplace much because the rising heat would make our TV, that's installed above it, get super hot. I asked the technician for advice on deflecting the heat. He explained one way is to install a marble shelf between the TV and fireplace, but then told me a blower would help too. He had one on his truck which he offered to install and show me how much it helps, and if I didn't want it, he'd remove it. He installed the blower, it worked perfectly! I really appreciate him taking time to explain how he serviced the unit, how to work the unit, and for solving the too-hot TV issue.

The Hearth Shop installed the fireplace at a home I purchased. The original owner gave me the documentation. She lost the remote ..A handy man was doing some work on my home and he looked at it and said he could install a switch no problem. I called the original installers just to see if they had an option..I mean they are the ones who installed it...right? Nope, they were loud angry and rude. For what reason I dont know I was trying to explain my system but instead all they did was try to "prepare" me for this being an "obsolete system" and the inability for them to get it started?? I suppose so they could try to install a new one and charge me an arm and leg. They also wanted to charge me 100 dollars just to look at what they installed. Charge me for the work you do but I am 10 minutes from you.. why charge me 100 for nothing upfront? He told me, "we have to make money somehow." Well hell how about through customer service and loyalty instead of cheap rip off techniques.
