The Golden Burrito #2

I've been wanting to try golden burrito for awhile. I've heard mixed reviews and I'll start by saying I won't be ordering here again. I plan my orders in advance and found the online ordering helpful for this. I ended up going through the drive through.This burrito was $9 pre tax so I was expecting something fairly decent. The meat and other ingredients seemed to be decent quality and I didn't get sick. The tortilla was store bought which is disappointing but expected. Where I rate this 2stars is the flavor and amount of food. This was a very bland and small burrito for $9 in 2023. The steak might have been cooked with pepper but nothing else the beans tasted straight out of the can, I'm not even sure they were heated. The rest of it tasted straight out of a bag. I ate this at home thankfully and was able to cut up limes, radishes and use my own salsa to add some flavor. That brings me to another point The packet salsa was not good and it was disappointing at a burrito place. Overall 2 stars +1 I'm sure some people would like it. +1 I did not get sick and it seems clean-1 size to price ratio in current economy. Also the photos show a stuffed burrito. So I thought it would be you know stuffed. -1 I had to add too many things from home to add any flavor. No garnishes provided is a huge disappointment anywhere that isn't fast food. -1 packet salsa at a non fast food place.

Food is a hit or miss. Somedays it is fresh...other days it easily seems a day old if not more. Charge way too much for extra sauce but, just my opinion.

Start driving here. You can read later. I stopped by because a place that got good reviews up the road was closed. I'm glad it was. I had a Torta that was out of this world! I took another home so I could have it later if that tells you anything. There's a orange color sauce that I put on it that Set. It. Off. I'm taking my brother some tamales so we'll see what he thinks. But bet me I won't be back next time I'm nearby.

Food is usually great, I might have it once a week if not every other week at their food truck for the past year since I started working in the area. Came by today and they no longer accept debit card. Nice lady behind the window said there's an ATM inside...yea OKAY. Lol. Let me pay 3,4,5 dollars in fees to pull cash out to buy your food. No thanks, I'll find somewhere that will continue to take my card. When I asked why they no longer take card, assuming maybe their reader is broken or is down, it happens. She said "we are not taking it". She spoke broken English so maybe she didn't understand or didn't know how to say it but once again assuming she did understand and did know, not an acceptable answer for me.

Wow. Awesome tacos. The lengua taco is amazing. Que ricos. Will come again. I'm from LA.

I have been going to the golden burrito 2 for 2 yrs ,I would go 2-3 times a week, I had surgery and haven't been in 4 months , went yesterday much to my dismay their whole menu on choice of meats has changed the food looked iffy but I thought let me try since I absolutely loved them in the past they didn't have the red pork meat any longer which is what I always ordered, the closest to it was red pork meat but with nopales (Cactus) and potatoes so they said , so I tell the cashier what I want in my burrito , not difficult the way I always ordered in the past , my meat , cilantro,onions, rice , beans,sour cream and a jalapeño cut up ..so I'm waiting and watching the lady make my burrito she slaps a small scoop of beans like a tablespoon goes to add the meat all greasy looking when prior visits they had a strainer they would put the meat in and press down all the oils so it was strained out I asked why don't they do that she said we don't do that then another lady comes up with a strainer and just throws meat in in shakes it and put it on my tortilla over the small tablespoon of beans then she lives where I can no longer see her and then they walk out and hand me the burrito in a bag . Something made me stop to check my burrito and yes as I thought no made correctly!! I had opened it up and no rice , no cilantro,cheese,sour cream ,or jalapeño as I asked for and paid extra for . So I walk up to the register and show the lady my burrito and asked her to look at the order the other lady comes to the counter start running her fingers through my nitro saying yes their is onions and I immediately said hello quit finger ####### my burrito they looked at me I said just refund money , they just looked at me and then another lady walk up and said let me help you I got this the other ladies are talking in Spanish pointing at my burrito I'm livid by that point so the lady that's said she would help said she will make my burrito fresh and take care of it properly came to me verified what I wanted on my burrito and I agreed she made it and brought it out to me . I was getting into my car and was still livid explaining to my husband what happened when the lady that's fixed my order came out to empty the garbage and heard me she walked up to me and said she was sorry for what happened that was unacceptable and wanted to refund me my $9.38 plus my tip$1 and why my tip was $1 was because I didn't care for the wait and choices of food I usually always tip $5 has always been my go to place . Anyways she said just stay in your car and I will be right back she came back with a receipt showing a refund and said again she was sorry and hopes I come back .. I thanked her and left . Well thank you for refunding me the $$ I won't EVR step foot in that establishment again service was absolutely horrible, besides your service I thank you but from 4 months to now I'm appalled that this has turned into a low life dive !!! And the burrito was NASTY I TOOK ONE BITE AND SPIT IT OUT idk what happened to this once amazing Mexican taco shop but I WARN YOU ALL DON'T WASTE YOYR $$$"" Taco Bell beats them hands down and I don't care for them !!!

This place I go on my lunch break every now and then and their food is super salty. I only get one thing and that's the burrito with red sauce and today will be my last day going there. The cashier older lady there heard me wrong and she got an attitude and said it was my fault for not saying it right which I did. I told her twice and she still got an attitude About it, so will I be going there again? Never because one she was rude two their food isn't that good anyways? 0stars if I could Do Not RecommendBad customer service.

I'm so freakin pissed off!! I called because they screwed up my order and the B straight hung up on me! I will NEVER go back to this hole!! Who treats their customers that way!!

This place always get my order wrong . Gave this place one last chance and they got my order wrong again and served my burrito with raw beef .
