The Floor Trader of Edmond

Terrible service. The carpet installers ruin our new paint on our staircase. Spitting fire.

Went into floor trader earlier thus month and met with Woody, a sales associate, about purchasing carpet for one bedroom and closet in a house we're purchasing. The carpet we ordered wasn't in stock so they had to order it. Prior to ordering, they sent out an installer to measure. When they gave me the price I was told it was much higher because the carpet has a design in it which requires them to line it up taking much more carpet. When they arrived to install the carpet today we found out the reason it cost so much was because they decided to order carpet for three bedrooms and closets. When I tried to get this resolved, the sales associate and manager both got very aggressive yelling at me on the phone saying there's nothing they can do about it. Do not use this facility. Thwy have shady business practices and ultimately blame it on the installer and you.

TL;DR: Check the prices at both Edmond and OKC stores first!We went to look at carpet and saw that they had some nice clearance deals, which they told us they would bring the price down even further. After some debating, we decided to keep looking elsewhere. Just out of curiosity, we checked out The Floor Trader in OKC. The same carpet was also there, and they were offering at $0.50/sq ft cheaper! BUYERS/SHOPPERS BEWARE, CHECK THE PRICES AT BOTH STORES! Also, we were told the install price is $0.60/sq ft. Then we were told a different TOTAL price for the install, which came out to roughly $0.75/sq ft. We ended up paying the $0.60/sq ft for the install and we told the installers that if they have a problem to talk to our sells person at the Edmond location who told us it would be $0.60/sq ft, NOT $0.75/sq ft! MAKE SURE TO DOUBLE CHECK ALL THE NUMBERS IF YOU BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! Lastly, the installers showed up 3 hours late and chipped paint off our baseboards! THEY ALSO BORROWED MY TOOLS WITHOUT MY PERMISSION!

My wife and I were recommended by our recent roofer/exterior restorator to visit The Floor Trader at 10601 Broadway in Edmond if we were interested in Luxury Vinyl Planking to replace our 30 yr old carpeting in our bathrooms. We were hoping to beat Thanksgiving when relatives were coming to visit. We lucked out! When we entered the store we were met by Flooring Specialist Woody Woodard. After telling him what we wanted he explained and demonstrated the pros and cons of the various grades of LVP and in less than 10 minutes after choosing a color we were headed out the door with Woody telling us the installers would be calling to agree upon a date. As soon as we got home a call came in from installer Jose Soto asking where we lived so he could come by early next week for a labor estimate. Because he was close-by he asked if he could show up in a few minutes which he did and in less than 30 minutes we had an agreeable quote and install date for 9 am the very next day.The job was completed in just under 7 hours and involved carpet removal, ceramic tile removal and floor leveling outside the shower area and two toilet removal and replacements with new wax seals. What a beautiful job with absolutely zero glitches or delays from the minute we walked into the showroom thru final completion the next day including cleanup. We will highly recommend The Floor Trader to all our friends.

Bad experience!! My husband and I had carpet installed in 3 rooms in December, 2018. The design imprinted in the carpet has disappeared in majority of the carpet. Finally got the store manager to come to our house to look at carpet after a month of trying to talk to the manager. He agreed carpet should not be in the condition it is now, he took pictures to send to manufacturers. Still cannot get any answers from time of April 27- June 13, 2019. Very bad customer service and very disappointed. This store is at 10601 Broadway Ext., OKC 73114. Will NEVER get any flooring or carpet there again!

Not very helpful. I went in yesterday to purchase tile. The sales person which originally helped me wasn't in which apparently made everyone else in the store helpless. They showed no expertise, had no knowledge about pricing, weren't able to pull up notes or details from the installer who visited my home, etc. Love the tile, but I won't be giving Floor Trader on Broadway Ext. my money.

Very disappointed!! My husband made an appointment with Chris to come out and give us an estimate on tile. The appointed time came and no one came or called. Of course, we had rearranged our evening to be home. The next day I called and talked to Chris. He was really only interested in assigning blame and didn't appear to be interested in keeping our business. We will go elsewhere. If we had this kind of experience with an estimate, we don't have any faith in their ability to do a good job.
