The Doggie Spot

Got my dog groomed here for the first time and it was such a great experience. I had a lot of questions and the groomer took the time to recommend and explain things to me. My Spencer boy left a whole new dog. Definitely will be back.

The staff at the Doggie Spot are friendly, encouraging and supportive with their training classes! Being dedicated dog owners, my husband and I knew that it was important to seek training help with our Lab puppies. In the Puppy Perks class, we learned how to best socialize our pups, teach them the basics of being a good canine citizen, and we felt confident in our ability to be great dog owners.The retail section of the store is chock filled with Made in America products, ranging from treats, pet food, training supplies and pet toys. The Doggie Spot is a store where we feel welcomed by the staff, valued as customers and is a locally owned store we fully support.

We were planning to take obedience classes, and thought we would take our dog in and get him groomed and check the place out. We made an appointment and planned our afternoon around it, but when we got there, they had no record of it and the groomer wasn't even there, not the best way to run a business, we'll go elsewhere!

The Doggie Spot is a bright spot in the town of Shawnee. Locally owned by one of Oklahoma's premier trainers and an all-around great lady. One of my favorite things about the "store" is how about 2/3rds of it is dedicated to the training area, with the remaining 1/3rd being retail. You can certainly get food, treats and training accessories, but its obvious how much emphasis they put on actually working with your own dog. As someone who believes in positive-only training, I encourage you to check out the Doggie Spot for basic training and beyond!

I really like the attention given to each team during dog training. The staff ensures that each team gets feedback needed for growth and improvement. I highly recommend these trainers.

Puppy class for my sweet doxie Zeb. The instructors were awesome. Great place to shop with a variety of supplies and treats for your fur baby.

We love this place! Mercedez does a phenomenal job with our dogs. Our oldest, Jacob, is 14 years old but always comes out not looking a day over 10! She's very patient with all of our dogs, but especially him. She notices when he's stressed out and won't push him past a breaking point. She also always remembers that Titus, our ShiTzu, is blind in one eye and is very careful on how she approaches him. He always comes out looking so fresh! Molly and Yona, our girls, always look so pretty after coming here for grooming, too! Their fur is so soft and they smell so clean. Thank you to every one here for such a wonderful experience all around!
