4 Thai spring rolls. Your choice of pork or vegetable rolled with bean thread noodles, black mushrooms, celery, a blend of cilantro, onion, garlic, and Thai spices, served with our house sweet and sour sauce.
Chicken or tofu, water chestnut, mushroom, scallion, and crispy noodles.
6 pieces. Pork or vegetable. Crispy, fried or steamed. Served with house sweet sauce.
Fried tofu. Deep fried tofu served with our sweet and sour sauce and cucumber sauce.
4 pieces. Chicken breast marinated with Thai herbs and spices, and coconut milk, and served on skewers with peanut sauce and cucumber salad.
Calamari. Slices of squid rolled in tempura batter and Japanese style breadcrumbs, fried until golden brown and served on a bed of fried crispy noodles with a sweet Thai chili dipping sauce.
Shrimp. Shrimp rolled in tempura batter and Japanese style breadcrumbs, fried until golden brown and served on a bed of fried crispy noodles with a sweet Thai chili dipping sauce.
Sliced beef marinated with Thai sauce, fried to perfection, and served with house dipping sauce.

Creamy coconut soup. An exotic creamy soup with coconut milk, kaffir lime leaves, lemongrass, galangal, mushrooms, cilantro, tamarind, onion and your choice of chicken or vegetables.
Spicy sour soup. Authentic Thai soup with Thai chili paste, fish sauce, mushrooms, tomatoes, kaffir leaves, lemongrass, cilantro, and your choice of chicken, vegetable or tofu.
Fresh tofu and napa cabbage in a vegetable broth with garlic, ginger, white pepper, mushrooms, glass noodles, cilantro and your choice of chicken, pork or vegetable.
Seafood combination. Spicy and sour soup with a combination of shrimp, mussels, scallops, squid, fish, mushrooms, tomatoes, kaffir lime leaves, lemongrass, galangal, a touch of basil, and cilantro.
Tom Yum noodle soup. Rice noodles, our own Thai chili paste, fish sauce, mushrooms, and lemongrass, topped with onions and cilantro.
Thai noodle soup. Beef, meatballs, onion, cilantro, bean sprouts, celery, Thai flavored noodles popular among roadside vendors.
Choice of lean minced chicken, beef, or pork, tossed with dry chili peppers, onions, cilantro, roasted rice powder, lime juice and mint leaves. Served on a bed of lettuce.
Beef salad. Grilled 8 oz. NYsteak, then sliced, tossed with roasted chili, rice powder, onion, lime juice and mint leaves. Served on a bed of lettuce. Best with sticky rice.
Glass noodle salad. Clear glass noodles tossed with your choice of minced chicken, tofu, or shrimp and onion, cilantro, tomatoes, lime juice, and mint leaves. Served on a bed of fresh lettuce.
Shrimp salad. Grilled prawns seasoned with chili paste, lemongrass, onions, tomatoes, lime juice and mint leaves, cashews. Served with fresh lettuce.
Squid salad. Fresh tender squid, delicately broiled, tossed with ginger, chili sauce, fresh mint leaves and lime juice. Served on a bed of fresh lettuce.
Seafood salad. Mixed seafood of fish, squid, scallop and prawns with lemongrass, onions, tomatoes, lime juice and mint leaves. Served on a bed of fresh lettuce.

Pineapple curry. Medium red curry with coconut milk, pineapple, red and green bell peppers, cherry tomatoes, onion, and your choice of meat or vegetables.
Curry paste, coconut milk, chopped red and green bell pepper, onion, on a bed of shredded cabbage. Choice of minced chicken or tofu.
Panang curry. Panang curry with coconut milk, fresh Thai kaffir lime leaf, sweet green peas, and chili peppers and your choice of meat.
Hot chili paste curry, cooked with coconut milk, with green beans, bell peppers and bamboo shoots.
Fried rice. Your choice of meat, vegetable or tofu, egg, onion, carrot, tomatoes and a hint of seasoning.
Crab fried rice. Lump crab meat, egg, onion, served with lime.
Pineapple fried rice. Your choice of meat, vegetable, or tofu. Pineapple, egg, onion, carrot, cashew nuts, raisins, tomato and hint of seasoning.
Basil fried rice. Choice of meat, vegetable, or tofu, bell pepper, egg, onion, Thai chili, touch of basil.
Thai chili paste, fish sauce, egg, mushrooms, tomato, Kaffir leaves, lemongrass, cilantro and your choice of meat, vegetable or tofu.

I think we have a new favorite Thai restaurant.The pad Thai was really good as was the pad see eew. Warning; they don't mess around with spice. I can take some heat and a 2 on my dish was plenty warm.The prices were good, the service was great, and the ambiance was wonderful. We will definitely be back.

I ordered the Tom Yum noodle soup (level 0 spice) and the papaya salad Laos style (level 1 spice). I usually go for level 2-3 but wasn't in the mood for anything too spicy this time. I was very disappointed by the dine-in service and experience. My waitress had an attitude and smirked when I asked for little spice. When my soup arrived it was a clear broth, completely lacking the traditional Tom Yum paste and flavors. Unfortunately, the waitress didn't explain that ordering no spice would mean removing the key elements that make this dish so distinctive. This lack of communication left me disappointed, as I would have ordered differently if I had known.On a brighter note, the papaya salad was wonderful, and I order it every time I visit.Hopefully they improve their service and provide better communication to let customers know what to expect with modifications.

This is a very good Thai restaurant, I really enjoyed my entrée. Be warned the food is on the spicy side. This restaurant serves spice level 1 - 5 stars. I ordered 3 stars, it was very hot. If you don't enjoy spicy food, I suggest ordering your meal at this restaurant 1 star.

Thawan Thai Cuisine is a good Thai restaurant in Norman. I love the fresh flower centerpiece for each table, extra points for effort. Pad Thai is the restaurant's most popular entree. It was good, but not the best though. I can think of restaurants with better Pad Thai. What I loved most about the Pad Thai here was the large quantity of vegetables accompanying the dish. The mango sticky rice was amazing. If you need a dessert, it's the one to get. Actually, at Thawan Thai Cuisine, it's the only dessert. I prefer having one excellent dessert over a million mediocre desserts. Nice cozy small Thai restaurant. Alcohol is also available for anyone in the mood. Tonight, I am alcohol out. Service was slow. I feel like they have a policy of "no check until the plate is empty" or something.

Food/Taste/Flavor: 5/5 - Basil Fried Rice with beef (Kao-Pad Ga-Praw) and Red Curry with pork (Gang Deang). Very generous serving size and we are so happy that there's enough rice for the curry! Even at a 3 spicy (out of 5), there was quite a kick to the curry. The bell peppers were bright and a great compliment to the creamy curry. The fried rice was savory with a lovely strong taste of the basil and they provide a slice of lime that gives it a great acidity. The bell peppers were a bit overcooked, but still a great dish overall. Service: 5/5 - friendly and quick serviceAmbiance: n/a - ordered food to go. Value for price: 5/5 - one of our favorite Thai places in quite a while. The food is absolutely delicious, generous portions, and such friendly service!

The food is good and spicy! I got a level 4 for my pad see ewe and it was a god burning spice. My husband got a level 5 curry but I thought it was less spicy than mine. The chicken satay I will pass next time it wasn't that good. The service was great and quick. Nice small place.

We LOVE this place. My current obsession is their yakisoba noodles. they were just so delicious and actually spicy! my absolute favorite thing on the menu. the curry is also delicious. the one downside (which is why i give this place a 4/5 instead of 5/5) is i wish they allowed for more substitutions. i couldn't eat rice for a period of time due to getting my wisdom teeth out so i asked of i could substitute the rice for some noodles even if i had to pay extra but they wouldn't allow it. which i get but also disappointed at the same time.
