Texlahoma BBQ

Delicious barbecue. I'm especially a fan of the baked potato. But sometimes they run out of what we're looking for. We understand it's hard to determine what sales will be, though, so we are willing to be flexible. Brisket is juicy. Even the turkey is juicy, which is hard to do.

Why am I such a sucker for BBQ nachos?Is it because they are one of my number one comfort foods? Perhaps, but yeah they are my "feeling homesick I need some calories right now" type of food.The ability to load up meat, sauce, jalapeños, and cheese onto chips so you can ignore the world for a while is a trick not many restaurants can pull off.Kind service, clean location, and good food.Enough said!

We thought we would try and wow how gross it is. The sliced beef is all fat and sparkles with grease and the polish sausage is absolutely disgusting. I gave 1 star because their okra is so good!

Honestly I expected so much more from this place but it was run of the mill barbecue at best. The atmosphere is great and service was good but food was just okay.

Our group of six had a great experience at Texlahoma BBQ. All of our meals were very good, the highlights for me being the okra and Butler baked potato (topped with three meats; it was so much food!). Good reviews all around for the ribs, smoked turkey and jalapeño sausage. The sausage had a good flavor, but was a little spicy for me. For me, it was a little pricey for BBQ, and the restaurant had kind of a chain feel since it was in a strip mall. But portion sizes were good, and they offered some unique items like the pulled pork nachos and the loaded baked potato. Overall, a very good meal.

Whenever we eat here, I'm always pleased with the chopped brisket and the okra. I'm not a fan of the beans and could make several suggestions as to improving them. The staff are always helpful.

Brisket was similar to beef jerky and green beans tasted like 3 day old mush. Mark this one off the list.

Food was excellent! It came out hot and tasted amazing. The service was amazing and the restaurant was clean with a great vibe! I definitely would recommend!

The food i had tonight at the Waterloo location was terrible. The cook and servers were cocky about their food and service was less than average. My biggest complaint is that I paid $11.58 at the location on Second St. versus the $11.91 at the Waterloo location for the same meal. (I bought both meals within 1 hour) If I ever go back to this restaurant the Second Street location is definitely the restaurant to go to!The service that I got at the Second street location was second to none! They had amazing customer service!! The young gentleman that took my order was very polite and delightful!!!

Food was good as usual. Staff isn't very friendly. We've been going there for as long as it's been open and always enjoyed the owner. Friendly guy and He seemed to appreciate our return visit. Different staff now.
