Ted's Café Escondido

Always good food and they have the best wait staff. Our family favorite meal is the Best Mexican Tacos we can't get enough of the atomic sauce.

This is a convenient spot. I've never been a huge fan of Ted's but a couple of months ago, I had a great lunch here. Today was just meh.I ordered the stuffed avocados and requested the black bean/corn relish for the stuffing. The waitress was insistent that the relish came on the side and that I had to pick a meat stuffing. I reread the menu and though I was right but she was insistent. I ordered the shredded beef. Dish came out with lots of beef stuffing and no corn or black beans in sight.It was also FREEZING inside.I ended up scraping up most of beef. Left one whole avocado uneaten. On the plus side, there's the queso, tortillas and sopapillas!

Good service, ambiance, location (if you're shopping or planning to go shopping at the outlet mall or on a quick stop from the airport; also fairly close to airport hotels), decent prices, and good portions. And they even include a sopapilla dessert and queso dip with nachos appetizer with meals; both complimentary!However, the food is mediocre and doesn't have any particularly noteworthy flavors or execution that. In terms of a balanced meal, the chicken special prepared in Monterrey style is ideal for health conscious consumers. Basic but solid menu.

Hadn't been here in over 15 years and decided to try it again while back in OKC. Sadly it was not nearly as good as I remember. Server was very nice and attentive but the food was just meh and bland (tortillas and sopapillas excluded!). I appreciate all the "freebies" but would rather pay for better tasting food.

Ted's is a convenient lunch spot when on the west side of OKC, or outlet shopping. Had lunch with a big group, and service was good. It was freezing inside though. We had plenty of chips, dips, and tortillas. I love the relish. That complimentary set up is always the best part because the food itself is less than mediocre Tex mex. I tried a chicken wrap this time, and it was okay. The chicken tortilla soup is my usual go-to. I only eat here with folks who want to go, but I wouldn't choose Ted's on my own. But it was a fine lunch with my coworkers.

This place is amazing. The food is awesome and so are the waiters. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!!!!It was so nice and tidy in there.

Hey there, I was stuck in traffic in the big rush hour ... left brick town heading west......got busy at work and forgot to eat lunch....well I guess you see where this is heading!TED's of course. I walk in the door head straight to the hostess stand and what do I get? The stink eye from the young child seating customers. I decided to meet his unwelcome gaze and see what would unfold. After an awkward silence he manages a "what do you want?" I said I want to eat, this a restaurant isn't it? Wow blew me away must have been having a bad day...oh well....on to a table, probably would have left but I was hungry. After chips were dropped off finally a friendly greeting from waitress and it was on. Yes great food and excellent service was had. I ordered the relish and some corn tortillas everything was delicious. Had the cheese chili relleno and wow so good. My faith in Ted's was restored!!!

The food, the service, and the ambiance was great, but the real reason I rated it a 2 because of the girls bathroom. It's really clean, but when I was washing my hands I realized that there was a red light in the mirror. When I looked closer I saw it was a camera.

The food was very good. It's been a while since we last visited this place and it was great. The salsa was very good and fresh. The services was fantastic very attentive and the atmosphere was relaxing and fast paced. We will be back!

The employees are kind and do their jobs well however the food, if Ted's still served the food that made Ted's popular I would eat here weakly. Why change from the original food to this over the years? Seems like the owner would want to make the food better so customers came back, not worse so they don't return. This is happening too much in this country, use cheapest ingredients to make the most money, this isn't smart.
