Teaze Dance and Fitness

OMG! I have been wanting to do this for forever! I decided to commit to a private pole dancing party for my 39th birthday with some of my dance girlies. Literally, had the best time of my life! Lynn the owner of Teaze gave us extremely clear instructions for both aerial yoga and pole dancing. Most of us were more on the beginner/intermediate level so, she really accommodated to each of our levels during my party. Who knew some aerial, and climbing and dancing around a pole could bring so much joy to everyone! Thanks for being such a great host Lynn, and can't wait to do this again! If you haven't tried pole dancing or aerial yoga, I highly recommend Teaze!

Hello there,Are you considering this for a bachelorette party? DO IT!! Woah. Woah. Woah. This place. Phenomenal. First off. Instructor Lynn, SO NICE. And also super sexy I don't not consider myself a sexy person, (personally am a little awkward) but after the amazing lessons we took on both the pole and the areal ribbon (not sure actual name... sorry) we all definitely left a little sexier! She was simple to follow and never went to fast. She was also very encouraging. We went for a bachelor party and it couldn't have been a better idea. There were only 6 of us which was the perfect size, but they do take larger or smaller groups. She has a lesson basically preplanned for you, but will also change it based off any things you want to try or do. Get your booty down to Teaze so you can learn to shake it!

I was left shaken by how I was treated after a misunderstanding when I tried to reach out to the owner and reach some sort of a compromise. Please noteI didn't demand a refund.I'll leave the emails for others to read and come to their own conclusion

The wife and I have been here for the annual pin up sale and for events. The sale is really fun as they have modern, dance, vintage, and pin up items. I am a collector of old magazines and have found great deals on those as well.The events are always fun. You will hear about upcoming events if you follow them on Facebook. We have also seen their performers at other events and have always had a blast.So, attend a show, go to the sale, take a class... You can't go wrong.

Had so much fun at this class!!! Went for our friends going away and our teacher Lynn was terrific! Highly recommend and I will be coming back to the workshops.

The instructor was excellent. Very fun and accommodating to the people in our party who weren't as comfortable with some of the more complex dances moves being taught. The experience was super fun!

Lynn is a compassionate and careful instructor. Every time I've gone there I've had personal struggles with the pole classes and she took personal time out of her classes and day to help work with me and find something I was better suited at and enjoy much much more. She taught me more about burlesque, an art we both share a love for. Lynn takes extra time for all of her students and her voice is always very loud and clear. Her studio is timeless and surrounded by old books on burlesque and show artifacts. Hands down the most unique studio I've ever been to and the best instructor I have EVER worked with in my life. Highly recommend because you will never leave this place without a new skill and that's guaranteed.

I want to preface this by saying I absolutely loved the classes and Katie is a rockstar of a pole dance instructor! I went to a workshop a couple months ago and couldn't wait to return. I then bought 5 passes ($75 deal) on the Mind Body App and was so excited. I had to utilize the Mind Body app, as the website was not user friendly on my Android phone. I went 3 weeks in a row and then got sick the following week and had to cancel the class. The subsequent week, I scheduled another class that I had to cancel due to my work schedule. Both cancellations happened within 12 hrs of the class beginning. When I cancelled the last class I noted that I had no more passes (However, I had not been to 2 classes), so I called the studio and talked to Lynn, the owner. She said maybe the classes had expired, so she would reinstate them. I told her I had recently purchased them and I didn't think there was any way they had expired yet. I proceeded to tell her I had just cancelled the most recent class (which was 3.5 hrs prior to the class beginning). She said they had a 12 hr cancellation rule - I proceeded to apologize profusely - I had really enjoyed the classes and had no intention of causing issues with it. I told her I would be more cognizant of the timeframe in the future and she seemed to be understanding. She said she would take a look at it and thanked me for calling her with the cancellation and said if I ever needed to cancel at the last minute again, just to call her and she would take care of it. The next day, she texted me saying that I lost my last 2 classes due to late cancellations. She sent 2 screenshots of their website with the cancellation policy and then stated that when I cancel, the Mind Body app notifies me that it is taking a class credit for cancelling late. I stated I was unaware of the cancellation policy prior to speaking with her the previous day and requested a one-time courtesy of allowing me to utilize these 2 classes (I LOVED the classes!). She simply never responded. So, 4 days later, I read through these texts again and go to the Mind Body app to see if it indeed says anything about the cancellation policy - I have yet to find ANYTHING. I clicked on a class for the following day and clicked "book." Because the app had my credit card info saved, it charged me $20, but did not book the class for me. I got an email with the receipt. I immediately called the studio and reached Lynn's voicemail. She promptly returned the call. I asked her if the 2 classes discussed the prior week were indeed lost and were not going to be reinstated and she said she would not let me utilize these. I proceeded to say that I accidentally purchased a class (about 5 minutes prior to calling) and wanted a refund, as I was just looking in the app for the policies and it didn't even book me for a class. She immediately began yelling at me, saying, "just because you're a no-show doesn't mean you get a refund for those 2 classes." I tried to interrupt her to tell her I was not still talking about those other classes, but wanted a refund for the mistake that just happened. She became so disrespectful and kept saying I was interrupting her when she was clearly yelling through the phone about something I wasn't even asking about. Again, I never was a "no-show" and I apologized for cancelling the classes too late, when I had not read through their entire website to see the cancellation policy and the Mind Body app did not say ANYTHING about the policy, nor did it give me a prompt saying it would take the class credit. She did not hold to her word that she would restore at least 1 of those classes and then yelled at me through the phone when I was trying to resolve an issue. I brought many friends to the studio and was planning on scheduling a workshop with my friends.Again, the classes were the bomb, however, there is NO WAY I can support a business owner who wishes to conduct business by going back on her word and then yelling at a customer who desired to cooperate and continue classes. I am so disappointed and saddened by this whole event. This was one of the most ridiculous encounters with a business owner who simply does not care to cooperate. I would have been understanding if she initially stated her policy and told me restoring the classes was impossible, but she informed me she would restore 1 class and thanked me for calling when I cancelled. However, there is absolutely no explanation for why a woman who owns a studio that focuses on empowering and encouraging women would yell so aggressively at a customer through the phone!

Expensive for what you get. Ppl seem nice though. Most reviews seem pretty dated. Not sure it's that popular anymore

I planned a bachelorette party at Teaze for the bride. We had such an awesome time! Lynn was very helpful and loved every minute of teaching us. We tried the pole, aerial yoga, meditated, and took many pictures! I Will definitely be back and recommend TEAZE dance fitness!!
