Absolutely delicious! Great service and value! Even when they're busy they still are quick once you order. Their steak tacos are the best!!

Authentic Mexican food and a great place to practice your Spanish, lol. These guys are great and serve some top-notch food! I visit the #2 truck in Mustang road and cedar branch in the shopping center on the NE side of the intersection. I love the Pastor, Carnitas, Birria, and Asada meats. They also have Tripe and Lengua for those who like it. The chicken is also really good and my Mom's favorite. They have a mild green salsa and a hot red salsa and both are homemade and excellent.

This is taco truck is at the end of my block. And although neighbors have been suggesting we check it our for a LOOOONG time, we just tried it for the first time about a week ago. I got a burrito w/ barbacoa and hubs ordered a mucho burrito w/ pastor (mucho has a sauce drizzled on it, maybe bigger as well?). La Villita has a steady stream of customers pretty much from open to close and they seem to be pretty efficient. Our wait was reasonable and our order was correct. The food was tasty enough that we went again a few days later and I ordered the burrito plate this time so I could try their sides (hubs got barbacoa on his mucho burrito). The flavors are excellent, but the sides were nothing spectacular and we both noted the barbacoa was pretty fatty, not disgustingly, but definitely not lean. Hubs favored the pastor over the barbacoa.Biggest reason for only three stars is that there were no masks in use and I don't recall the order taker wearing gloves. I don't know that she helps with food prep, so the gloves didn't seem that big of a deal, but the masklessness did bother me (but I still went back, so it wasn't a deal-breaker). I realize some people may decide to eat there because they weren't wearing masks, so whichever your preference, now you know. This was pre-mandate in Norman, so will have to see if that has changed next time I pass by. Will update accordingly.

This food truck is conveniently parked in a gas station lot. The menu is pretty extensive and it is a great value. The friendly team whipped up our food quickly. I like the veggies that covered the food. All was tasty and fresh. Go check it out. You won't be disappointed!

Excellent food and fast friendly service! I ordered two Carne Asada tacos and two carnitas mullitas and a 16 bottle of ice cold Coca Cola! I ate it right there in my car and let me tell you it was amazing! The Asada and Carnitas are tender and flavorful and the mullitas were nice and crispy. The packets of sauce are way better than you get at most fast-food taco restaurants. I also like the addition of a whole roasted serrano and the thin sliced carrots that are used as garnishes, as well as a few lime wedges. I will definitely go back for this authentic mexican food!

This 5 star review is comparative to other similar vendors. You need to go to this truck!!!Forget going to the local fast food taco place. They've never had great food and nowadays they aren't even cheap any more. A good full meal at Taco Bell is every bit as expensive as this place and nowhere near as good. The food at Taqueria Express La Villita is truly excellent, arguably as good as any sit down Mexican food in Norman and far, far ahead of any fast food.As a "gringo" I'm sure I do NOT really understand authentic Mexican food. But every time I've been to this truck at lunch time, it has been absolutely swamped by Mexican workers on their lunch break. The Spanish is flowing fast and furious between the customers and the server. I have no clue what they are saying, but to me that means they know what they are doing! But if you are like me and don't speak Spanish, no worries. The server is a lot more multilingual than I am! And if you're too embarrassed to try to pronounce the real names of the menu items, they've helpfully numbered most of them... and they understood my garbled pronunciation just fine! So, judging by the clientele I'd say that the traditional Mexican items on their menu must be pretty authentic. I know I have enjoyed everything I've gotten there.Besides all the standard items of Mexican cuisine, they also serve the obligatory Nachos... that I imagine are really a Euro-American invention, but everyone expects them at a Mexican restaurant. My wife and I usually get an order. An order of Nachos here is a full meal.In addition to the food, their drink selection is impressive and "authentic" including real Mexican Coke... which most Coke fans agree is far better than what we get in the U.S. The sauce packets they supply include a red and a green variety. Both are flavorful and the packets are large enough to really do some good. The green is slightly hotter. I really wonder if they have some far hotter sauces available to the more knowledgeable patrons who ask. I don't know if they do, but it wouldn't surprise me.I will also say that I was impressed by the service. Our first time there, I did the ordering and went back to wait in my car for the order. I'm older and have arthritis, so I have a hard time walking. The server noticed this. When the order was ready, she didn't call my name. Instead, she got out of the truck and brought the food to me. I didn't ask for it and didn't expect it. But she was just thoughtful enough to do so. Wow.If you are wanting "sit down" Mexican food and it is a nice day you can go to Tarahumara and sit on the patio. For slightly less expensive sit down Mexican, but no patio, I'd go to El Sombrero. But Taqueria Express La Villita's food is as good as theirs, they just don't have tables.Bottom Line: Never go to a fast food taco joint for a full meal again. Do yourself a favor, go to Taqueria Express La Villita. There is no reason to get Mexican takeout anyplace else unless it is after Taqueria Express La Villita's hours... and then you should just wait until they're open!
