Sope dressed in mild crema, just how I like it, but al pastor was underwhelming. 3/5
Sope, al pastor buried in their somewhere, as it comes to-go with cream on side. Large & in charge but al pastor flavor barely there. 3/5

Just happened to discover this place in my search for something other than a chain restaurant on this side of town. I love this little authentic Mexican food spot! My go to are the tacos (asada and pollo). I need to branch and try other things because it all looks delicious!Very friendly staff! Also, don't expect the typical chips, queso and salsa with your meals.

A friend took me here to try the enchiladas. He had been raving about them all day haha. The business is rather small. You can dine in, but just be aware this isn't a traditional mexican restaurant like you would find around here. The menu is limited, and there aren't chips and dips brought to the table. However, the menu has all sorts of goodies. I decided on just cheese enchiladas. It was served with fried potatoes and a small serving of lettuce. My friend got enchiladas with asada and a quesadilla. The food came out quickly. These aren't drenched in sauce with the cheese inside. Rather, all of the filling is put on top. The enchiladas were very good, although I wish they would've been hotter. The were rather lukewarm. However, the flavor was on point. I love the cochita cheese. So yummy. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. The prices are also very good. All in all, I will try this place again! Hopefully next time the enchiladas will be hotter!

I have noticed Tacos Chilo's on 50th Street just east of MacArthur (next to Marcos Pizza) many times when I pull into either Charm or Abels and I've wondered. Is it worth sacrificing an Abels trip to try it?I finally bit the bullet yesterday and headed in.It was worth it.The menu is limited but the prices are fantastic! I've found sometimes that a small menu means that the few things on it are done really well as they are at Tacos Chilo's.First visit we tried the flautas (you get 5) which are covered in a salad topped with crema and fresh cheese with a side of sliced avocado and tomatoes. and the mulita (sort of like a quesadilla with corn tortillas. The tortillas are obviously handmade and delicious! They are lightly fried until they puff a bit and then are filled with carne asada (my choice) onions, cilantro and a hunk of avocado. The meat choices (shown on the back of the menu) for most of the dishes are asada (beef), pastor (pork), higado (cow liver), lechon (soft pork) and pollo (chicken).Menudo and Birria is offered daily I believe for fans of those.Only reason I gave it a 4* is the limits. My husband wanted pepper but they don't have it. There are no public restrooms. The two sauces offered are good but if you wanted more heat, there were no salsas offered, but just a kind of watered salsa verde and tabasco sauce. However I learned you can ask for regular or spicy salsa on my 2nd visit. Overall I really liked it.

The sweetest staff. Beautiful tableware. Delicious food. And very unique in okc. I had the enchiladas. A tiny bit of cotija & fresh onion inside. So light and flavorful. Can't wait to return!

This place has amazing Mexican food. It's a min and pop style eatery. I ordered Flautas but to my specific order. They are normally served with avocado, tomato's and other items but I was trying to recreate a dish from El Paso called Chico's tacos , it was a pretty good match after I put the green chili on. The restaurant is cozy and has a family style laid back ambiance. The food is just as it should be, authentic and tasty. This place isn't fancy but should be at the top of your list to visit if your in the mood for good Mexican food in OKC.

This place is definitely a gem and is newish (I think), so please show them some love. I've had the enchiladas twice now and am obsessed. The potatoes that come with them have such a buttery texture and special subtle flavor--seriously some of the best potatoes I've ever had. Everything we've tried there has been super fresh and delicious in a way that's surprising. The cheese in the enchiladas tastes really fresh. The pineapple aguas frescas was fresh and made in house. The taco sides such as radishes, limes, and peppers/carrots are also high quality and super fresh. The portions are a good size so you're not asking for a food coma when you leave, in addition to the meal not being heavy in general. The atmosphere is comfortable, clean and relaxed as well. We even got it to-go once and everything was boxed up perfectly.
