Szechuan Story is a Chinese restaurant located on NW 28th and Classen in Asian District. It has been opened since 2020. It's great for group dining and as well as individual dining. I have been at this restaurant a few times already and so far the food has been great. I don't recall a meal that I didn't like, from dumplings to soups to entrees. Well...maybe the soup from the second picture. Their lunch specials are my favorite, good quantity and quality of food. Service is good for the most part. Sometimes, service is a little slow compared to the nearby "pho" places. I would highly recommend to check out Szechuan Story if you like Chinese cuisine.

We stumbled upon Szechuan Story while searching for something new to try in Oklahoma City, and we were not disappointed! From the parking lot, it looked like the place was closed, with all the windows covered and no sign of life. But once we stepped inside, we discovered a small, hidden gem: a cozy Chinese restaurant tucked away in a corner. The menu was filled with an array of delicious dishes, and we couldn't resist trying a few. The spicy soup with fish was a standout, bursting with flavor and a perfect kick for those who enjoy a bit of heat. The beef tripe appetizer was also a hit, with its rich, savory taste and tender texture. The service was equally impressive, with friendly and attentive staff who were quick to take our orders and refill our drinks. We left feeling satisfied and excited to return and explore more of the menu!

The Asia district has a plethora of fabulous restaurants. I've eaten at more than a share of Chinese restaurants. This is one of the top tier for authenticity and flavor. The staff are a bit young and not as attentive as one would expect. The restaurant itself is nice and clean. Go for the food, it really is glorious.

I'm obsessed. I can't wait to go back. So so good -- especially the chongqing chicken. Service was fast and friendly. The restaurant is the perfect size and clean. I love eating family style with the big turntable in the middle, so it was great to go with a big group and share everything. I have heard from a friend that they aren't the best at respecting allergies though, so be aware if there is a risk for someone.I can't wait to bring my dad here because he will love it so much. Thank you!

We checked out Szechuan Story on Classen today at lunchtime. A nice little place, clean with a good vibe. We selected our plates off the lunch menu. My companions picked the Chicken with vegetables & brown sauce, and Sesame chicken. I chose Kung Po chicken. The Kung po chicken was tasty and not spicy at all. The Sesame chicken was bland and nearly tasteless. The same for the Chicken with vegetables in brown sauce. We did get generous portions of fried rice with our plates. The hot & sour soup was okay but nothing to write home about. The spring rolls were yummy, but small even by spring roll standards. The service was average, after being served our meals the waiter disappeared. No refill on our teas or Overall it was a bit underwhelming. It's doubtful we will return. Considering the Yelp reviews we looked at before dining there it just didn't live up to expectations.

This place is lacking so much flavor. Orange chicken had no orange flavor. Such a waste of money.

Staff were attentive and welcoming. Had the braised beef in chili sauce, I'm used to slightly larger portions but the amount was perfect for having no leftovers. Great flavor but had to add chili oil for more of a kick. Wontons were in your typical dipping sauce not chili as advertised, not terrible but not great either. I travel the US for work and eat Sichuan food regularly and I would definitely return

Rude service and the Mongolian Beef should be called Mongolian Onion. Taste was fine but the ratio of onion to beef was ridiculous.

Their menu says it all. I like to see the food I'm ordering. The pictures on the menu helped a lot. I ordered soup dumplings, cucumber with garlic, and eggplant with fish. Wow they are all amazing. Highly recommend the place.
