I made an appointment 1 week prior to the date of tattoo. It was to be sleeve work on my right arm. Not incredibly detailed. After showing the artist EXACTLY what I wanted. He said he could do it with no problems. It was to be two smaller tattoos and a swirl of lines around them (then 4(2 old)) tattoos. I decided he, Jimmy, would be a good fit for the tattoo. I prepared for the tattoo.. made sure my skin was clean and moisturized. I was nervous, as I had never gotten a tattoo this large. I arrived and the artist was late(no problem as I use an ecig and was a ball of nerves anyway). When he arrived I showed him the photos again. He said he would draw them up. I waited in my car, with my trusty ecig. He brought out the first draft. It was at least triple the size I had spoken about. I then said I wanted a much smaller one. Back to the drawing board. He waved for me to come inside. The print was still much larger, but I decided to accept it. He then placed the print and allowed it to dry. He then used the tattoo gun to give me a "water" tattoo(which I had no idea what that even meant) so the lines would be clear as he was going to draw on the swirls for the next part, wiping off the temporary ink. It hurt terribly. I asked why it hurt and that maybe it was too deep. He then made a joke with another artist in the room, making fun of me with a sexual enuendo. I understood the joke, I just didn't care to laugh at it or find it funny. He finally began drawing the swirls with a temporary pen. Wiping away any wrong lines with the antibacterial liquid, burning my fresh "water" (open sore) tattoo, it burned over and over with every mistake. My photo(of the swirl was on a leg) clearly not an exact picture. I had hoped he would be able to draw something similar. None of what he put on my arm even resembled the photo he was looking at intently. He took a photo of my arm and asked me to draw what I wanted. I am no artist, but tried to, at least, start what I wanted. I explained, in detail, what I was hoping for. It was terrible, nothing drawn was even near the photo. He then said that I would need the other smaller tattoo first, I told him I agreed. Throughout the changes, he is huffing and puffing and telling me I am changing what I want. His voice was getting louder and louder. I let him know that we seem to be having some communication problems. He said he could not tattoo me if I kept changing my mind. I had the same 3 photos from my first meeting with him. I, finally, told him I was done with the session. He then began to try to offer solutions. I asked what I owed and went to the front desk, where he said I owed nothing. I waited for my deposit return. He stood near, in what felt like intimidation(I did not feel comfortable hanging around to discuss with anyone in the shop). I was refunded my deposit. I left with a large outline of a "water" tattoo(painful) and lines up and down my arm in purple. I have multiple tattoos and have never had an experience like this. I am not attacking him as a person, just his ability to communicate. He did not explain a "water" tattoo and the possibilities of pain or the reason. I will never go to this studio again and hope no one else has to endure the same treatment. Tattoos are a joy and a lifelong commitment, I was so excited to get the work done, but now I will question every move.

My friend and I wanted to get some simple ear piercings and when we walked in we were approached by one dude who was pretty nice and then when the second dude with the piercings all over walked in, he had the absolute worst attitude I've ever witnessed. He was talking to my friend and i like we were literally 3 years and over all he was just being a complete asshole for no reason. My friend witnessed his smart Alec responses but still wanted to stay because she did want to upset the guy if she told him she was just going to go somewhere else. Me on the other hand, I don't care about how they would feel. First of all, it's the mans fault for having such a disgusting attitude towards his customers as if we were going to stay there and put up with it. I'm not going to pay you to give me mediocre service when I can get outstanding service elsewhere. I finally convinced my friend to get the piercing somewhere else and when we told the with the piercings that we were going somewhere else, he did this sarcastic laugh as we were walking away and then told us to have a goodnight. Once again, the first man we talked to (I vaguely remember his appearance but I think he had some tattoos and brown), he was nice to us. the piece of shit with bridge piercing deserves to be fired. How do you expect to run a good business if you're not even going to have a good attitude? I'll never understand it. So yeah, if you want to get a piercing I highly recommend not going to studio ink in n and getting pierced by the asshole with the bride piercing. You will be disappointed.

I visited this place this year to get a tattoo. It took me awhile to figure out what I want. I was recommended by a friend to come here for one of the artist. This I purchase a gift card to use later because they were having a promotion. I tried contacting that artist but he never got back to me. Before I knew it he left the shop and so I had to find another artist. During this time there were only two artist. I ended up selecting an artist and booked an appointment. The studio contacted me because a spot opened up earlier than when I was scheduled so I jumped on the opportunity. My appointment was at 5 so I left work early to drive down. When I got there the artist wasn't even there. The artist was 20 minutes late to our appointment which mad me a little mad because I took time off of work when my original appointment was on a weekend. Anyways my first interaction with the artist wasn't good. The artist seemed like she was having a stressful day and sort of took it out on me. Anyways the artist worked something up and I headed back. It took about an hour and during the first impression I really liked it. After the healing process I checked out the tattoo again and there are many faults to this ink work. There are many non straight lines and it is very noticeable. In addition the color scheme (that I let the artist pick) didn't go well with my skin tone. I also took the artist suggestion on placement and now reevaluating it I wish the artist had a better option then the first placement. The artist was welcoming while during the session but just not happy at the work.

Studio Ink is a relatively new shop in Norman that is so loved my friends and I! We started visiting the shop on Second Friday art walks and now we are regular customers for their amazing local art and tattoos. The owner and staff are some of the friendliest people you will meet in town. That's part of what keeps us all coming back! Every month they feature the work of local artists, from paintings to prints to photography and more. The quality and variety of art they feature for sale is some of the best in town, in my opinion. The shop also houses a tattoo shop and they have some of the best artists in town! I am not yet tattooed, but I have several friends who will not go to any other tattoo shop to get their work done. Check out their Instagram page for some up-to-date work by their artists! Definitely recommend visiting Studio Ink, whether you're just dropping in to check out the art or looking for some new ink!

Never even made it to the start of my appointment. Run REALLY behind on schedule. Was told on Instagram to be there at 12:30. Appointment was put down for 1 & by 1:35 still no updates. Told my appointment was from 1-2. If I knew that I wouldn't be on time.
