Red, sticky stuff on hoop from what I thought was a new machine.
Dirty hoop from the "new" embroidery machine.

The Stitching Post has a great selection of machines, but as of this moment, I'm not a fan of the customer service.Last Friday I bought an embroidery machine and brought it home. It's a 40-minute drive to Bethany from my home. When I opened the box, I noticed there was duck tape on the edges of the box. Inside, the machine was not new, but used, with a dirty, sticky hoop. (See the pictures)I also bought several spools of thread and wasn't given 2 of the spools. I called the store and someone answered even though they had closed. The owner promised a new machine for me and apologized. She called the next morning and stated that the machine was on its way, but I told her that I decided to trade up. The store doesn't offer any refunds, only trade-ins within 30 days, so instead of putting them out further by opening another machine and trading it later, I decided to go ahead and trade up.The owner told me over the phone that she only had a floor model on the trade up, but that she would give me a discount. She didn't. When I paid, she stated that the machine was already discounted in order to keep up with the internet. She stated, "I'm not trying to be mean," which threw me off. Why would I think that a business owner was being mean if she's focused on customer service? I wanted the better machine, so I bought it even though I didn't get what was promised. The floor model was packed up and the owner gave to me the thread that was left from the day before. As the nice lady was packing up the machine, I reminded her about the 2nd hoop. I was told during the demonstration that the machine had 2 hoops, 4x4 and 5x7. That's why I wanted to trade up, to have the option of both hoops. She said it only had 1 hoop...the 5x7. Sigh! I had already paid, so I took it anyway with a promise from the owner that she would find a 4x4 hoop for me.After the store closed, I arrived back home....a 40 minute trip...and I unpacked the box to find out that they didn't give me the power cord. I tried to call the store - no answer - and no answering machine and they were closed for the weekend. I called this morning (Monday) and asked the owner to just put the cord in the mail to me. She said that she would mail it today. So I guess I don't have to say that at this point I don't recommend the stitching post unless I open the envelope and find the hoop I was promised as well as the cord. I wanted to like the store because the people are nice and they offer a good selection. I just hope that they work on their customer service.Update: Yesterday I received my power cord in the mail. It was thrown in a box. No apology note. No coupon for my next visit. No hoop. Their poor customer service skills have lost them a customer even though I love my new machine.

I have bought all of my sewing machines and had all my machines serviced for years at the Stitching Post. Two weeks ago I took my sewing machine to be serviced because it was making a horrible noise. My machine wasn't done after two weeks, I contacted the Stitching Post, they still had not even looked at my machine. The next day I received a call from the repair man,John, and he said the sewing machine was serviced. I asked him why it was making a noise, he acted surprised and said he didn't know that it was making a noise, but if we had problems to bring it back. I used my machine yesterday, immediately after I got it back, and IT STILL MADE A NOISE! My son took the machine apart and quickly found out what the problem was and fixed it. I called the owner of the Stitching Post today and the owner was extremely rude and disrespectful! So, if you want to spend thousands of dollars at a company to be treated horribly then go ahead and use the Stitching Post.

I have purchased sewing and embroidery supplies many times and really enjoy the selection and customer service. Staff is friendly and helpful and readily share their expertise. I have used the repair department to tune up my machine and was really pleased how quickly they got it done. They have a really good selection of high quality machines.

I cannot say enough good things about the Stitching Post south. I have bought numerous machines, from the Dream Machine all the way to the entry level embroidery/sewing machine. I have bought the Juki Serger and two Scan N Cut machines, plus taken so many classes. Everyone is more than patient with my lack of understanding or troubleshooting with the repair department. I did have one problem and it was resolved to my satisfaction. I will only use this business for all future purchases.

My husband purchased an embroidery machine for my birthday. Unfortunately, we did not purchase it at the Stitching Post. I went in last week to see if they offered any classes. I reserved a training session with Maddie. I brought my machine in and supplies and we sat down and worked on a project. Maddie was absolutely fantastic. I learned a ton, I feel so much more comfortable with my machine! From now on I will only buy my embroidery needs here! Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend them.

I requested Robert call me two times before posting my review to discuss; he never called back so here are my comments. I left my Pfaff for cleaning and updating, after 2 wks I called to check on status and was told it was skipping stitches, when I finally got Jonathan to call me he jumped down my throat with a very raised voice, "I don't break machines I fix them"; NOT how you talk to a customer! Then he claimed he had several Pfaffs come in recently that were all screwy, this tells me he isn't comfortable working on Pfaffs. My machine was finally ready the next day, 3 wks, no updates made, and the staff is the most uncourteous group of people. I will not be using them again. I bought a custom wood sewing cabinet from them, but would not recommend them for future seamstresses looking for service. Very displeased.

I'm NOT sure about the other locations, BUT the NW 16th one, people are too busy to help. They're really attentive when they're selling you something, but drop you like a cold fish AFTER you buy! I don't like businesses who do that. I've bought all my machines, zerger, sewing and embroidery machine from these people. But the customer service is HORRIBLE. The female owner promises the world but delivers nothing! She sold me all types of BIG hoops, knowing my machine wouldn't accept more then a 7x5. So I sit with a HUGE hoop that I will never use. I just feel used and abused. Screw a customer for the almighty dollar? Guess I was raised differently.

went in for a eight dollar bobbin repair BUT I had a cleaning and not just my machine but my checking account. No one called to say how much this was going to cost and the sale lady was rude and made me feel silly for asking about why so much. Next time I will go somewhere different.
