This park has definitely got an upgrade!! Giant playground with activities for all ages, lots of seating in the shade, water fountains, and beautiful plants! There is also an outdoor amphitheater and lawn for viewing. It's got some good trees for hammocking and a quality basketball court.

Great smaller park in the heart of edmond with a decent picnic/ group area.Parking is scattered around the park area itself, and also on the side streets surrounding the park. You will have no issues parking on any particular visit. This a medium sized park comprising several acres. There are both tennis and basketball courts, an excellent children's playground and a covered grilling/picnic area. The covered pavilion can be reserved via the city of edmond, but for the most part they will be available upon demand. The play area includes dinosaur bouncy things, tire swings, toddler swings and a super awesome rocket ship climby thingy. Best of all, the layout allows both for you to see your children from just about anywhere in the park and for enough space so they won't suddenly dart out into traffic. You can take a sit on a bench and observe remotely while your kids are at play. There are some other small features-there is the requisite downtown edmond statuary, and small wpa style bridge. It's located adjacent to the edmond historical museum, the jazz lab, along with a number of restaurants both high and low end within a block or so if not directly across the street.Official hours are from 11 am till dusk, but this park is pretty much always open to the community. It's not a place for power walking/running, yet is still one of the better parks in edmond for sure, especially for children.
