I guess this candy just tasty besty. Why, gee -- it says so right on the package!
Yum!
Wide selection of incense/joss sticks here! (Need cones? Spices of India has these, too, and -- I'm pretty sure -- also has some resin.)

This place serves as a hub for OKC's burgeoning Indian-American community.
No one wants to bathe in dreck. But to bathe with DREK? Why, a different matter altogether! (P.S.: The homoerotic photo on the box? Yeah.)
I have no idea why the hell this even EXISTS.

I love spices of India. I could truly stay in there all day, looking at all the food and items that they have there is a lot of spices that I buy in bulk and this is the place for you. Their prices cannot be beat. What are the employees saw that we were having a hard time finding the powdered ginger and he stopped what he was doing and helped us find it. The amount of items in the store is staggering. As we were walking over to the Indian restaurant next-door there are ladies to the side, making fresh products that the store sells. We have never come across a rude employee, and the cashier was friendly and smiled the whole time.

I came in here looking for Kala Namak Indian Salt which is a pinkish color said that they call black Himalayan salt. You use it with chickpea flour and it gives the flour an eggy taste. I had looked online and decided I would try to find it locally. I'm glad I did because I found so many great deals here for a good price.I've never seen Hem incense in such big boxes or at such good prices. I found all types of flours (think chickpea flour) in a big bag at a good price. They had so many things, including Ruffles cops in Indian flavors like tomato and herb:So come on in and check this place out.

The place has a great variety of groceries including veggies, spices, sauces, and frozen products. Disclaimer on the veggies: check them before you buy them! I have (on more than one occasion) found vegetables going bad in their produce section. However, don't go here if you're expecting good customer service. I've never been asked if I found everything alright, and on my last trip my cashier was on the phone the whole time after rudely waving me to the checkout line. Also, the people in the front look like they've never smiled a day in their lives. I shop here for non perishable items and vegetables that are hard to find elsewhere. If I had other options to purchase these items, I'm not sure I'd shop here.

Mostly the same stuff as my last review: 1. Not a lot of South Asian grocery options in town. Alas, the owners of Spices of India (and others like it) get to do whatever they want.2. Customer service ranges from benign to incompetent. You're better off having a firm idea of what you want before you go in, because you're otherwise likely to wander the largely empty-shelved aisles.3. They'll upcharge you more than an item is marked (e.g. a bag of snacks may be marked as $1.99 on the packaging, and they'll sharpie over the price and charge you $2.50. Except you sharpie'd over metalized polypropylene, you tight-fisted goobers. You understand that it comes off easily, right? Your miserly behavior is exposed by your laziness. 4. I'm repeating this point from the last time: Suhas B. makes some excellent points about the overall quality, and how we're a bunch of suckers for paying so much for ethnic food ingredients because OKC isn't a large hub city. If you're the type to travel to Dallas often, start buying your stuff from the stores in the DFWA area. This is an Indian grocery store being run by the ethnic minority version of Ebenezer Scrooge. Which is... probably 90% of them now that I think about it...5. Get the samosas from next door though. Their samosa catering option from Rasoi Chaat Cafe is pretty fantastic; I've used it when hosting large parties. But otherwise they're meh... Actually, you know what you should do? You should stop reading this, and read Suhas' review in its entirety. He wrote it two years ago, and it's still as true today as it was when he wrote it. The Caucasian reviews on this Yelp page don't even know.

I never post here but I just had the worst experience at Spices Of India. They have very poor business practices and customer service. I bought a dosa mix $23 - bought it home and it was spoiled. Went back to the store to get my money back. The first guy we spoke asked us if we wanted to get something else. We went looking around the store. When we got to the register the owner immediately started yelling at me and saying I'm not going to give your money back - I calmly explained to him that I bought it today. He had my receipt in his hand which he was trying to keep away from me. He screamed and said there was a sticker missing from the top and his supplier wouldn't take it back without the sticker. Mind you this sticker said "best if used by September 27,2022 and was 1/4" by 1/2". Due to it being in the fridge - 1/2 the sticker had melted off - but it still showed 27,2022. He proceeded to yell at me in the store in front of other customers. I asked him to not yell at me - I'm not yelling at you - he continued to follow me out of the store at yell at me all the way outside. Listen - there is very little that a person buys at this store that Amazon doesn't carry. Just very poor way of handling a small issue and treating people that just spent money in your store.

It's ok. Not wonderful, not horrible. We were there to pick up spices for "Butter Chicken". Wondering around totally lost with a list, several employees stocking but no one asked it we needed help. We found what we needed, prices actually seemed pretty decent. The checkout register guy was pretty uninspired and non involved. No emotion, nada. I'd go again, but only if I can't find it anywhere else.

Great place for cheap spices (no more paying for premiums on extra-hot chili powder or turmeric!) however I bought pistachios and found a worm in them.

HUGE variety here, kids! (Yeah, yeah -- I know. I'm pretty sure it used to be a Fifties Era bowling alley. I'm over it.)Know your stuff before you shop, though, as some of the employees may not have what I'd call impeccable conversational English skills. (Yes, English may be the most commonly spoken language in India, but . . . )There's a lot of up-charging going on here; that's true. (Marking through original prices with a black Sharpie instead of going with the MSRP/bar code price? Pure D bullsh*t, man. That much is true.) I'm docking this joint one star for this rather unscrupulous practice.Try the chaat place up front for lunch. (It also caters, I believe.)Yum. Yum. You can thank me later.

I used to love coming to this store when they were located on the northeast corner at NW 39th & Portland. However after they moved to the old bowling alley, there is less selection, poorly organized and the staff does not seem to understand the concept of customer service.
