If anyone is considering using Tru 2 you Estate Sales, LLC, DON'T.The owner, Whitney Smith from Norman, Oklahoma is a liar and amoral thief who preys on her senior citizen clientele. I was one of themWhitney Smith held an estate sale at my home on December 16, 17, and 18, 2022. I was to receive my portion of the sale as per HER contract on January 9, 2023. That is when the stress and frustration becan as no checks came. There were many calls and texts between my daughter and Whitney trying to get her to send me my portion of the sale , to no avail. All my daughter got were lies about the money being sent. Finally, my son contacted Whitney through texts and calls with more lies to him. Finally Whitney sent me a check and recei[ts from the sale. The check did not clear her Bank of America account because of insufficient funds. After all the lying and procrastination, I was not surprised.AGAIN, my son started pressuring via calls and texts, urging Whitney to send me my money. We planned on tuirning this matter over to the D.A. and I was in the process of contacting channel 4, in your corner to see if they could help. Finally on March 11, 61 days after I should have had my money, lying Whitney Smith sent me US Postal checks. As I said, if yiou don't want to be stressed, angry and frustrated, Don't use this company, it is run by a lying, dishonest person. This company doesn't deserve ANY stars, not even one,but I can't send this review if I don't give her one

We were initially impressed with how her staff came in & set things up, but after the sale things went downhill. Whitney did not live up to the contract we signed with her, on many different points. 1. Contract called for a 3 day sale, the day before the sale, with no call or explanation, we found out that was changed to 2 days. We feel more would have sold if the 3 day sale had been honored, we were lied to.2. contract stated we would receive daily itemized list of sold items, we never received any. We don't know what was sold, or for how much!3. contract stated we would receive payment of our share within 10 business days. After a month & numerous calls to Whitney, in which we were lied to or given excuses, we were finally sent a personal check from the company. She blamed her accountant & said she was sending us a gift certificate for our troubles, we are still waiting on that!4. Whitney said she knew several businesses that would make us a flat offer on the leftover items & haul them off. Well, the items disappeared, we were never offered any money,or explanation of who took them, could have been Whitney kept them for her personal gain?i please don't trust this company, they are not professional or reliable!!

DO NOT use this estate sale company. Whitney is nothing but a liar and a thief. She comes looks at your stuff appears to be a great person but once the sale happens, you never hear from her again only in text as she won't answer her phone. Text say she's sending a check on a certain day with a list of items sold the list never matches the items that were in the sale if you even get a list. I gave her items in 2022 and 2023 and I have yet to be paid or seen the items that were sold or the items that didn't sell have not been returned to me. I have every text email pictures of the items. Her name is Whitney Smith. She's changed her business about three times since I dealt with her , I have reached out to channel 4 hoping and praying they will put her on national TV so people can see the person that she is and hopefully get some of us his money back.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND USING TRUE 2 YOU ESTATE SALES.In January of 2022 we used True 2 You Estate Sales for my mother-in-law as she was having to move to a nursing home. The first problem came with the contract. We had agreed on a 35% commission rate. When the contract was delivered to us it had a 40% rate. After discussion Whitney Smith, owner, agreed to drop it back to 35%. The next problem came when the estate sale happened. They ended up bringing in a lot of their own stuff to sell in our estate sale. This again was not in the contract. Their stuff was prominently displayed and ours stuff was displayed in harder to find space. After the sale the real problems started. We had a hard time getting payment from them. The contract states that payment "shall be paid to and delivered to the Seller 10 days following the conclusion of the sale..." Our sale ended on January 23, therefore, we should have received payment by February 2.We contacted Whitney Smith several times trying to get payment. She promised she would deliver it to us. She would set a date and time and then never show up. After numerous phone calls and texts she finally agreed to bring us the payment. She cut us a check and delivered it to us on February 28, 36 days after then end of the sale.We deposited the check in our bank on February 28. On March 2 we were notified by the bank that the check had bounced and had been returned due to insufficient funds. I contacted Whitney and she told me they had a mix up and had put the proceeds in the wrong account. She asked me to run the check through again and it would clear. We had the bank run the check through again. On March 4 we were notified by the bank that it was once again returned due to insufficient funds. We continued trying to work with Whitney for several weeks to try to get paid. She eventually would not accept any of our calls and would not reply to any of our texts. We notified her that our only recourse would be to turn the insufficient fund check over to the District Attorney. Again, no reply from her.On or about April 12 we had to turn it over to the District Attorney's office. At that point we were told by the DA's office that they would handle it. Eventually we did receive our money but not until 79 days after the end of the sale and numerous hours of trying to collect money she agreed she owed us.The most amazing part of this story is that she always had an excuse and it was never their fault for any of the problems that occurred. BEWARE!

I questioned if you had a partner and you told me she was no longer part of your business, only did set-ups and answered emails for you. I have that in writing. So why did t you dissolve that business completely and start a new one? You simply changed the name. Yes, the payment was out of the blue in March and you admitted to the Attorney General in writing (which I was provided a copy of) that you owed it and it would be paid by the end of SEPT 2022 which never happened. Not once did you tell me or the Attorney General the story you are now trying to spin. You told me in July that the 3rd party buyout paid you in cash and how would I like to receive it...I told you then just add it to my payment. You had received the money from them. So please excuse me if I don't fall for your lies. How funny you are addressing this post NOW as many others have come forward with their horror stories in dealing with you. It's obvious you are trying to get truthful, negative reviews removed so you can keep suckering others. Please, beware of this company and if you have any issues collecting what is due to you from an estate sale, please contact the Oklahoma Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division.

I recently purchased an item from them on an online auction site. They offered the item as a "buy now" option, so I chose this. I received a message from them that the item would ship "tomorrow" and that they would send me the tracking number. Well, I have never received the item or even a tracking number. I have contacted them to ask for the tracking number and they have never responded. Even and "oops" would be more acceptable than what I've experienced. I tend to be understanding in this current tops-turvy world, but it's been weeks of absolutely nothing from them except charging my credit card.

I purchased over $800 worth of items on their online bidding site, Estatesales.org, on March 8th, was invoiced and paid shipping charges for my items on March 15th, and as of today, May 4th, I have not received my items nor have I been refunded. I opened a BBB complaint on March 30th and yesterday it was closed UNRESOLVED. Therefore, now I have had to dispute the charges with my credit card company. Several times the owner, promised to deliver my items to me, but never followed through. She only has one phone number listed for the company, TRUE 2 YOU ESTATE SALES LLC, but rarely responds to calls or texts. I would not recommend purchasing anything online from this company because you are taking a huge risk of not getting your orders. They also state they are BBB accredited, but the BBB website states they are not.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! We used this company for an estate sale in January, 2022. It was a three day sale. The items were merchandised nicely. After the sale we were, as per contract, to receive our portion of the sale. Whitney Smith ran the sale and phoned me each day with sale totals. When we finally received our check it was based on sales amount that was 1/3 less than what I was told on the phone. The check we received bounced. Both my husband and I tried to contact her. Then we contacted the BBB. They tried multiple times and were told that we were paid, then promised a certified check, and eventually the BBB was told they had wired the funds to our account plus $50 for our troubles. Needless to say, we received nothing. After the BBB told us that they could do nothing more, I contacted Whitney again and asked her for a certified check. The next day, she promised me one on Friday, then Saturday, and then Sunday. Nothing. Our credit union refused to run the check again. After I saw she was having sales again in April, we went to a local bank we had used for 30 years and opened a new account as they promised to run the check again. After a few sales passed we deposited it and it cleared. Bottom line, we are elderly and we're downsizing. I feel we were treated very poorly by someone with whom we entrusted our home and possessions. We will be taking legal action on the disputed amounts. I never saw her again in person after the sale.
