Smith Farm & Garden is my go to shop for anything related to my lawn. They have the best prices and best customer service. It is so nice to know I can go to a family owned business and actually talk to Mr. Smith if needed as opposed to a Lowes or a Home Depot. The sales staff is so knowledgeable and can answer any questions that I have (again, much better than any box store). I drive all the way from Ardmore because there is no one better!!!

What are awesome place, such helpful and friendly staff. I wandered around for 20 minutes just looking at everything and wasn't rushed, was only asked to holler if I need any help. I'll certainly be coming back in the future. oh and my gosh do that have a massive selection of stuff. every brand of chainsaw and yard tools you could think of.

My go-to yard equipment shop!I've purchased here repeatedly...lawn mower, chain saw, tree saw, pole saw, brush trimmer, weed eater and edger... because they have competitive pricing and knowledgeable staff. I used to get equipment at the "big box" chain stores. However, I kept having to replace equipment SO often. Smith carries high quality brands that last much longer...a significant money-saver for me!I take my equipment in for service and repairs, and Smith has people on-site who REALLY know how handle issues, large and small. I frequently use the computerized chainsaw blade sharpening service, and they even fixed my mower's bent crankshaft!I can see why Smith Farm and Garden is a favorite of homeowners and professionals!

I have used this shop for servicing my old Troybuilt tiller. I've also bought other items from them, Chain saws etc. They know their equipment. The service dept is top notch. Also they gave me good advise on which cultivating tiller to buy. Best place.

Don't waste your time on these idiots.... most unhelpful and useless place I have ever been. Not one idiot in this place has a clue. I am surprised they can find their way to work. Don't go to this place.

Saturday 7/18/2015 - Replaced oil, oil filter and air filter but it was still leaking oil. Decided to call in a professional to take a look.(First Contact FC) Called Monday 7/20/2015 - Asked if they could look at my mower and see if it's worth fixing. I asked if they could call and advise the issue and cost before they fix anything and Ken said yes.(First Contact FC) Monday 7/20/2015 - Ken came and picked up the mower.(FC - 2 days) Wednesday 7/22/2015 - Ken called and advised the mower is fixed. They charged me just under $400 for everything with roughly $240 going towards an oil change. They never called with the issue and cost before they fixed it.(FC - 4 days) Called Friday 7/24/2015 - Spoke with Ken and advised the mower is not fixed.(FC - 4 days) 7/24/2015 - Ken came and picked the mower back up.(FC - 3 wks & 4 days) Called Friday 8/14/2015 - Matt said they tried a quick and easy fix last time but it didn't work. They just got the engine taken apart and will start looking at what the actual issue was (mower in shop for 3 weeks). They will have to call me back on Monday 8/17/2015 for an update.(FC - 4 wks) Monday 8/17/2015 - no phone call update.(FC - 5 wks) Monday 8/24/2015 - Josh called and said they cannot fix the mower. They will have to replace the engine and it will cost about $900. No refund for the $400 because he said it was fixed when they had it. Josh advised they ran the mower for one hour with the blade running to confirm it was fixed - the mower began leaking immediately when I started it.(FC - 5 wks) Monday 8/24/2015 - Josh called back and said he asked the boss and he said they can do everything for $600 but still no refund of the original $400.(FC - 5 wks) Monday 8/24/2015 - I said no thank you, just drop it off. Josh said, "No problem, we'll have that dropped off later today"(FC - 5 wks & 1 day) Tuesday 8/25/2015 - no drop off as of this date.(FC - 5 wks & 4 days) Friday 8/28/2015 3:00PM - called Ken for an update. He said he has been out of town all week and doesn't know of any update on my mower. He said he will call the shop and get someone to call me within the hour with an update.(FC - 5 wks & 4 days) Friday 8/28/2015 3:23PM - Mason called and asked if next Monday 8/31/2015 would be a good day to drop the mower off. I said yes. I inquired what the ultimate issue was with the mower and Mason said he didn't know. I asked if he could get more information for me and he said he would have more information on Monday when he calls back.(FC - 6 wks) Monday 8/31/2015 - No drop off or phone call.(FC - 6 wks & 3 days) Thursday 9/3/2015 - Josh called and advised that my mower is still disassembled and that I would need to pay for labor to put it back together - his best estimate was about 2 hours for 2 workers total. I asked what is off the mower and he advised that just the clutch and engine pulley are currently off. I said no thank you but please give me my mower back. He said it'll have to be dropped off in pieces and he'll let me know the next available drop off time. I asked if he recalled me requesting an initial phone call with the issue and cost before they fix anything; he said yes and advised they have policy of doing that but he doesn't know why it wasn't done for me. He said he will ask why I did not receive this initial phone call. I asked how he felt about my experience at Smith Farm & Garden and he said it has not been good at all and he apologized for the quality of service. He said he will talk to Ken, the owner, again and call me back today. I said okay.(FC - 6 wks & 4 days) Friday 9/4/2015 - no phone call update(FC - 7 wks & 3 days) Thursday 9/10/2015 - still no phone call update(FC - 8 wks & 3 days) Thursday 9/17/2015 12:15 PM- still no phone call update. I called Ken but he did not answer. I left a message requesting an update on why my mower is not returned yet and a final explanation on what was wrong with it that would cost $900.(FC - 8 wks & 3 days) Thursday 9/17/2015 1:15 PM - Mason called back but didn't know what was wrong with my mower that they couldn't fix it. He said he will ask and call me back. No explanation for the delay at this point.(FC - 8 wks & 3 days) Thursday 9/17/2015 1:30 PM - Mason called back and said that the barring spun out and won't hold the seal they originally tried. Mason confirmed the seal never was able to stick because of the spun-out barring. I asked how were they able to confirm the fix before they dropped it off and he was not able to explain that anomaly - it sounded like it never was tested properly for the fix. I inquired about the 3-weeks delay and he again did not have an explanation - he apologized and said that they must have just forgot about it despite the previous and consistent phone calls. He said my mower has just been sitting there for the past three weeks.
