Shiki

Went to Shiki to celebrate a birthday and made reservations. Our party arrived right in time with a little wait as they cleared a grill area for us. Note that they won't seat your party until your entire party shows up. As we sat down, the grill area sat all 11 of us where everyone could see the cooking. We picked Shiki because we were looking for a hibachi option with a show. I ended up ordering the steak and chicken hibachi option with fried rice. The meal comes with soup, ginger salad, the choice meats, veggies, shrimp appetizer and sautéed bean sprouts. When the chef came out to cook, he was just okay when it came to the hibachi grilling show - which was actually important for us when choosing a restaurant. He didn't really give much of a show nor did he interact with the table. It was very minimal at best. The food portions were great. Ended up having enough to have for dinner the next night. The flavors were overall good, the salad though was very strong in a horseradish or onion flavor that was very off putting by a lot of us at the table. But the grilled foods were decent. Overall food was good, but if you're looking for a show, hope that you get another chef!

No flavor at all! I ordered steak and chicken Hibachi! The meat was so bland ... no seasoning at all!!! It was $32 for one order.Fried rice was YELLOW! I thought it was supposed to be brown? Waste of money !

I ordered here 4/22, when I arrived in town after finding them on Yelp. I ordered hibachi to-go and it was pretty good! I didn't get utensils, soup or salad. I was not motivated to leave a review though.It's close to my hotel, so I ordered here again tonight, 4/25. The lady that answered the phone to take my order was incredibly friendly! I was impressed. When I got there, I met her. She continued to impress - super friendly and accommodating, offered me a seat while I waited for her to fix my drinks, and couldn't have been more cheerful or polite. She motivated me to leave a review. This restaurant did themselves a solid by hiring her, and your day is bound to be brighter if you visit while she is working. She let me know that hibachi comes with soup and salad. I was happy to hear that! She prepared my sauces with a couple Andes mints. I got utensils, ample napkins. Top notch! She should be teaching customer service or hospitality. But she's here. And if you eat here, maybe you'll get to meet her!

There were six of us tonight and decided to eat teppanyaki tonight. There is plenty of parking outside so no problem there and since it was 5:30pm on a Wednesday not too busy yet. Everyone ordered a variety of food from shrimp, scallops, steak, chicken and my salmon to top it off. I myself am not a big fan of the tricks with the cooking utensils and eggs being tossed into the air, but this place serves you large portions of food for a reasonable price. They also did a good job of keeping my water glass full so definitely no complaints there. I do recommend if you are hungry for teppanyaki and don't mind a little showmanship.

The Sushi was absolutely phenomenal! It went down hill from there. The Waitress was very pushy and rude. And there were constant flies flying around my food. I couldn't even eat all of my chicken Teriyaki because it was so nasty. I hate giving bad reviews but this was wayyyy too expensive for what I ate and the quality of service I received. The Sushi Chef was fairly nice but also distant and pushy.

This was such a fun experience. We had never been to a hibachi grill before. This is good place to take the whole family. My 8year old and 4 year old were amused. The food was very good too. But it was a on the high side. We ordered 2 of the habachi meals(1shrimp, 1 chicken), small order if California rolls and we split it between 2 adults and 2 kids. There was plenty to go around but it was $65 for everything.

This is a great place to go for dinner and a show. Each chef has his own my favorites are Eddie's and the one who does music. All the sauces are made in the back making me like this place even more knowing what I'm actually putting in my body when I eat.

BEWARE!!We used to visit Shiki frequently until our last visit when they doubled the charge on our receipt. If I hadn't checked my bank statement, I would never have known. Despite calling them, they have not responded or resolved the issue. We know exactly what we ordered and what the total should have been. Super sad as we loved going here, but no longer feel comfortable with what has happened. I guess maybe use cash to avoid your money being stolen? We spent $82. Bank shows $164 for two people.

I rarely complain about restaurants, but this was a horrible experience and ruined a birthday meal. I've had hibachi all over the country, and this was by far the worst. Worst food. Worst service. Worst prices. If you want to have mediocre service, a boring chef, and bland food, this is your place! The hibachi food is ridiculous. They won't season it. You can pick beef or chicken, but they won't make it teriyaki or spicy at the table, which completely defeats the purpose of the experience. So forget it. They'll give you the sauce on the side or make it in the back only. The meat was also extremely dry. There is NO YUM YUM sauce. We asked. They have some strange alternative chunky sauce that isn't creamy at all. The spicy tuna roll is absolutely bland and forgettable. Go somewhere else. People who like this place have probably never been anywhere that's actually good. The mandatory tip sucks as well. Probably the only way to get tips with such awful food and service. The staff seemed annoyed and rushed. When we paid, they dismissed our complaints and were completely rude stating other people liked the food so there was no issue. DONT DO IT.

We go there almost every week my absolute favorite sushi and hibachi!!! I've shown this place to my friends and family because I think it's that good! We have this waitress every time that is very friendly and always makes conversation! She has memorized our orders because we go so much lol.
