My husband was recommended this place by an Autozone employee. He called and they let him know they were very busy and he should wait until the following week to bring in his truck. When he dropped of his truck for service they estimated it would have to stay overnight. We were surprised to hear from them in the afternoon that his truck was ready! They fixed his A/C and he is very happy. Definitely will bring his old truck back when it needs work in the future.

If you want an auto repair service that has skill combined with integrity, this is your place. The only downside is that they are are smaller operation and a lot of people have discovered their value. You have to be patient, because they are very busy. For good reason. I took my accord in there after reading the reviews. Had received previous estimates for AC repair and a check engine light. Shelby and his crew were able to repair everything for 1/2 the price quoted at the other shops. Was impressed and will be back.

My husband and I were in Oklahoma City visiting our niece and her husband when we had a tire go flat. Trying to lower the spare from under our van the tire got stuck and we couldn't remove it. Head around OK City and was recommended by the local discount tire to go here to have the hanging tire removed. They were busy, but Shelby went out of his way to help us get to the wedding in North Carolina. Would totally recommend this place. Excellent service. Your new friends from Taos NM!

My son was gifted a Honda Pilot with over 200k miles on it from his grandfather. It needed some work done and we took it in to see if it was worth it to try and fix everything or if it would be better just to sell it. We could not be more happy with Shelby and the work he did. Finally a mechanic that will shoot you straight, won't try to sell you repair work you don't need. He is honest, affordable, and does great work. We will never go anywhere else for car repairs.

For the last few times I have brought my car to this garage I have felt that I have been overcharged and when my wife or daughter have brought their cars to him they would either fix it before they tell them what the quote is or fix more than what they needed to in order to charge more. This time was the last time.......My check engine light came on and I took it to get the light checked at one of the auto part locations.They told me that it was a gas cap. I got the gas cap replaced but the light was still on. I took it to Shelby's because even though i felt a certain way I hate changing mechanics. He told me to fix it would be around $500. Not too long after that one of the other mechanics called me and told me that a lot of times when they fix it they find more leaks and it could be more. NEVER had another mechanic call me and tell me that it will probably be more after the owner just called me.I decided to take it and have it checked by two other places and stated they could not find any issues and the last mechanic told me he just reset the light since I did get a new gas cap. Didnt charge me and told me if the light comes back on to bring it back. Two things.........if the light does come back on, at least he allowed me to try it before he charged me $500+. Second, it irritates me because I have referred a LOT of people to this garage. Lesson learned and I will not be back.

Approximately June 18, 2018 - I dropped off my car at Shelby's automotive to have the air conditioning compressor replaced or repaired due to a squealing bearing.June 29, 2018 - I was out of state when I received a phone call from my insurance company State Farm, informing me of a claim against my car insurance. I believed the claim was being made under fraudulent conditions because my car was in the shop in Oklahoma City.Shortly afterward Shelby's automotive called stating good news the air conditioner had been fixed. Then Mr. Shelby informed me that my car had been totaled in a wreck by an employee test driving my car.July 2, 2018 - I discussed with Shelby the condition of the car stating that I wanted a body shop to tell me it was totaled instead of him. We talked and agreed to have the vehicle taken to Exclusive Auto on SW. 29th St. in Oklahoma City.On July 12, 2018, I went to Exclusive auto and took pictures of my car. I had another phone conversation with Shelby's and asked the status of the vehicle with the auto body shop; he told me that the garage would take care of me and make the situation right he also agreed to have the car repaired at his cost. My statement was I wanted my car returned to me in the condition that I left it with the expected repairs to the air-conditioning.Later in July Shelby's automotive called and asked if I would be open to him purchasing a comparable car with comparable miles. I agreed provided it was red preferably with black leather interior and automatic transmission and a sunroof. These are all items that I had on my previous car. He agreed to look throughout the Midwest for such a vehicle.My insurance, State Farm, was required to pay all the claims in the rack because supposedly the coverage follows the car and not the driver. Please remember when the accident occurred in Oklahoma City I was out of state. The same discussions were held over the phone with Shelby throughout August and September with Shelby agreeing to take care of me and make it right by purchasing another car during each conversation. As customary, State Farm insurance was wanting to clear up the property loss as soon as possible. Mid-September - I began looking on the Internet for comparable cars. I found one in Dallas that was almost identical to my wrecked car for $8500. I asked Shelby to provide $4300 towards the purchase of this car, and I would take $4200 from my State Farm settlement and purchase the vehicle completing this whole ordeal.September 27, 2018, I received a text message from Shelby stating that he had discussed this with his attorney and was advised not to pay anything and just let State Farm's settlement suffice. Shelby did offer to pay the $1000 deductible and $300 salvage for the old car.I believe I have a right to expect the garage that I take my car to for repair to care for my car and return it in the condition it was when I dropped it off plus any repairs that I may have paid. In this situation, I have taken my car to Shelby's automotive and have lost the entire vehicle. My insurance had to pay and now will possibly raise my rates even though I was not in the same state when the accident occurred. And when I asked Shelby to follow through with replacing my car, he has decided not to follow through with what he has verbally told me in the past couple of months.I did not want to take this into legal proceedings but rather trusted his integrity and his statements regarding his willingness to address the situation financially. Now at this point, he has backed out, and my insurance has offered a settlement which will not replace my car. Therefore I'm left holding the bag when I had no responsibility or liability in the accident.
