Doing your open water in Oklahoma is not ideal by any means, but if you're getting certified in this area -- these are the folks to go to. I did the complete training with my daughter, and the staff is fantastic. Professionalism at every step of the way with a lot of fun mixed in. They have a nice dive pool on location and a great gear shop with everything you need.

Some of the most sociable, friendly, and helpful instructors and divemasters at this shop, never felt any pressure or stress, and if I started to they assured me there was nothing to stress about in a very calming way. Anything I learned was repeated to perfection with, again, no pressure or stress, only assurance that "we will get this right".Sharkys will definitely take care of you.

Took my daughter, wife, and nephew (two different classes) to get O/W certified with Sharky's Scuba over the last 3 months. Really good group of people. First off - they have a really nice shop. Lots of gear to try on and not pushy at all. They keep top brands on hand like Oceanic, Hollis, and Mares. The other thing I like is with a lot of the gear - they have good, better, and best. If your starting out you might not have the budget to get a $200 pair of fins - so they have some really nice entry level stuff as well.Second the staff: I don't know that everyone is family that works there but they act like they might be. Debbie aka the mom - is super friendly. She mans the counter on most days I've been there. Calls you by name when you come in (maybe I need to quit hanging around so much). Shane - he's the instructor/manager/owner/boss. Every class I've been to Shane is always trying to make sure everyone is having a good time. You can tell he loves diving and wants to make sure you are comfortable and having a good time. Sadie & Shane (different Shane) are two of the best divemasters I've met. Always on hand if you need anything or the students have questions. And Instructor Sara did an excellent job with my daughter. After the lake dives my 16 y/o daughter was really pumped up about the whole experience - which is super cool when you can connect with your kid like that. Training Facility: Sharky's Scuba has a pretty big classroom...I'm guessing it holds about 12-15 people (has tables and chairs). Down the hall are showers and changing facilities and then thru the next door is the onsite, indoor pool. It has a DEEP end which is really nice to practice your skills in when you are taking a class. I think you can rent out the pool for birthday parties, etc. If you are not a diver. Come here and become one. No matter what's going on in the world - life is always better on the bottom. If you are a diver. Come here and say hello.

I rented an air tank at Sharky's and it tasted like it was filled by God himself with air from the Yosemite valley.
