Absolutely definitely come here! It's a non-profit and ran by mostly volunteers. The prices for each coffee are not really prices, they're how much they cost but if you can't afford it, you can pay what you can for your coffee. If you think the coffee is worth more, you can overpay. Just that alone is so cool, the staff here have an honest interest in the art of making coffee and are eager to learn which is pretty awesome. There is definitely more quality in the coffee here, plus they experiment with stuff to make it more unique which I appreciate a lot. I am going to make it a point to come here more often and spread the word about this place.

Second Wind is more than a coffee shop- it's a safe, cozy place to stop by and get something done or chat with a friend. It's one of the things that got me through college. I have a real soft spot for this place, and the coffee is pretty good too!

Pay What You Can sounds much better than Pay What You Want.Second Wind is a very nice little place tucked away in Norman that makes me wish I lived closer. It's quiet, which is pretty necessary if you want to be a place where students come to study. It's affordable, see "Pay What You Can" which is also pretty necessary if you want to serve students. The Dante's Inferno is to die for. The cayenne creates a very subtle heat with every drink and it mixes with the other flavors so fantastically. It's easily the kind of drink you'd find in a Starbucks, but without the weird pretentiousness of Starbucks. They also lead a ministry, and honestly you probably wouldn't know if someone didn't tell you.

What a cool concept for a coffee shop. I think this place would be the only reason I'd go to Norman. I don't know how busy it usually is since it's marketed to the college kids in the town, but it's a lovely space either way.Second Wind is run by a... youth... ministry of sorts? Sorry if that's off. I'm not great with details sometimes. So the drinks are based on donations when it comes to paying. They have suggested prices on their written menu. Being as I'm a totally well to-do adult (hahahaha), I just go with those prices. But you can pay less (or more!) according to your financial ability, which is great for struggling college kids, or any of us going through a struggle. The workers are volunteers, so there's a lot of 'em. I've only been here once for the Caffeine Crawl, but the Flower Power I purchased was great. It was like a jasmine tip and lavender tea of sorts? I can only guess that the level of service and well made coffee you get depends on who's in that day since there are so many volunteers. Maybe it's a roll of the dice. If I lived in Norman, I'd probably be here a lot.

Very disappointed that they kicked a great stand up comedian off the stage. I was enjoying it and the management seemed like ass holes. DONT GO HERE

I've been going here for years, and the coffee and atmosphere is wonderful. This shop is run entirely by volunteers who are passionate about coffee and the Norman community. They are a donation based non-profit that supports a local charity every year. Check them out.
