We got our open water certification before going on a vacation to an all-inclusive resort that included SCUBA. The resort offers PADI certification on site, but we didn't want to waste vacation days doing certification and decided to do it before traveling. I can't tell you how glad we are that we trained at ScubaBros! We dove with many people who had been trained at a resort and were scared for their lives and our safety. They were poorly trained and downright dangerous at times. We ended up checking their gear as well as ours before each dive (because the dive masters weren't checking) and we stayed as far away from them under water as possible. We felt completely comfortable with our gear and our weights, and knew we could deal with any unexpected underwater situations because we had practiced them during training. All of the trainers are patient and knowledgeable. They created an opportunity for some one-on-one practice when one of us was struggling to master a skill and got us caught up in no time. We're looking forward to some Thursday night dives and are considering joining a dive trip.

I seriously have no idea where to begin with Scubabros. Thinking back on the hours I've spent with the dive instructors getting certified, shopping for scuba gear, and just hanging out, I have a pretty good idea of what this place is all about. I felt extremely safe with the employees here. I don't know how they did it - they somehow have a team that is very friendly and fun-loving, but with an undercurrent of discipline when it comes to the safety of their customers. The only thing I can surmise is that strong leadership has instilled the shop with a very professional, customer-centered culture without losing the pure joy of scuba diving.During instruction, there are plenty of people around to answer all of the stupid questions you inevitably have. I'm sure they've answered them a million times, but they always took my concerns seriously and did everything they could to make me feel comfortable and help me understand the equipment.Yes, the gear they sell is a bit expensive, but they will proudly go on and on about Scubapro and how great it is. Take a look online, or ask when you meet scuba strangers, and you'll find that Scubapro is the best of the best. Feel free to shop around, but they have reasonable prices, not to mention strong opinions and the patience to let you try on twelve different wetsuits until you find the one that fits you just right. The grain of salt here is that I don't have experience with a lot of other scuba shops, but I am well-versed in exploratory Google-ing, and I get the feeling that we made a phenomenal choice with Scubabros.

We had a blast getting certified at ScubaBros. Allen, Zach, Mike, Ryan and everyone else there is awesome. They're professional but keep everything fun. My husband was nervous about the idea of being underwater for an extended period of time, but he immediately felt better ~ten minutes into the first class. We went from knowing nothing about scuba diving to being obsessed in two weeks. I had trouble learning a couple of concepts, and everyone was so patient and helpful. Let me reiterate that I'm not the most patient person and they *never* seemed frustrated with me. There is a good instructor-to-student ratio, and the pace was perfect. We started in just a few feet of water, progressed down to twelve, and then got certified at 22 feet at their lake, which was my favorite part because there were catfish and turtles to eyeball. They service equipment, sell the prettiest/coolest scuba gear, and plan group excursions. I want to go on one of these because this is a really fun group, and they know their stuff. I can't recommend them enough. TLDR: You know that scene in Harry Potter when Harry gets annoyed with Aunt Marg and inflates her and then she floats away? The second night of scuba lessons, I felt kinda like that because I kept floating up, but the guys were super helpful and taught me how to correct that. You should get certified and buy your gear at ScubaBros.

My fiance talked me into getting certified and we came here. I was so reluctant over and over again but these guys and gals were amazing about always making me feel comfortable and at ease despite my crazy panics. I've never seen such patience, especially with me. I would recommend this place for anyone wanting to learn or just need a good group to go on dive trips with. Nicest group of people I've met in a long time.

We undertook our first set of dives s/p my refresher course and my 10 yo and 16 yo initial certification. They were the best-prepared of any divers on the boat. The crew were impressed with how confident my kids were with what they were doing, from equipment assembly to navigating different scenarios, including 5 foot waves on day two boat dives I watched the crew perception change from misgivings re my newbies, to confidence that they knew what they were doing. Thanks for the outstanding education. Hope to be Lifers with the shop!

I never felt so welcomed and at home as I did shopping and training at Scubabros!!! Allen & Mike walked the shop explaining the different options in scuba gear. Once my gear was selected they had me try it out in their pool. During the dive Mike had several types of fins&masks for me to try out The amount of help and expertise is unbelievable. Knowing what I wanted and needed they assisted me in my final decision By far the best dive shop in both selections and assistance. Great staff I will be back

This place was amazing. To show you how good they are, I'll list the very first thing they do. They walk you around the store, letting you ask as many questions about each product, and even try a bunch on. I have a hard time fitting masks to my face, and they let me try on so many. The education portion is brief and concise, and when they are in the water, they give loads of instructions so you can't be lost. I only have a few complaints. The open water dive lake didn't have much in the way of equipment, and the dive pool would occasionally have kayakers that were blocking our path. Neither of those really warrant a decrease in stars, and I do think that this might be the BEST place to get certified
