Sandplum Event Center

The Sand Plum is a beautiful place. I showed up with very high expectations because of everything that Larry the owner promised my friend (the Bride) We get there and the Grand Ball Room air conditioning has gone out!! This was not the first time I have heard of this happening at this venue.My friends from school have told me stories of there getting ready rooms being hot, NO AIR! Just fans that they brought in the room to try and help. Middle of summer and no air conditioning. We asked what was going on and the owner told us that they are trying to fix it there wasn't much that they could do because it is a 100yr old building.(That is crap! What the Bride paid for this venue it would of paid for a new air conditioner.) They continued to bring in these rolling portable air conditioner things that looked horrible! So the bridal party and all of the guest toughed it out and still tried to enjoy the day.I felt most sorry for the bride who had to be all sweaty and sticky on her special day. I would not recommend this place if your date is in the summer.
