Cheap hotel close by the hospital was just what I needed when a family member was in the acute care unit for a few days and I had to come up from Austin.A/c barely worked but I figured it was fine, I wasn't going to be in the room all that much, and if the ceiling fan worked, it'd keep things warm and not hot.Upon check in, they said they charge a $100 deposit "for incidentals" but I was like, okay, I'll get that back, no big deal.A few days after checking out, I noticed the $100 fee being charged to my card. I emailed them and asked them when they'd credit me back the $100, but they replied, saying: "We're sorry to inform you that after you checked out from the room, we found that the TV screen was broken. We charged you $100 for the damage to the TV."Thing is, I never turned on the tv. I never looked at the tv. I went from hospital to hotel solely to shower and to sleep. So a 4 day stay at Samir wound up being $100 more than expected thanks to them stealing the $100 deposit.Next time, I'm going with Best Western down the street.

Me and my family stayed here for almost 2 weeks. We left on November 1st,BEFORE checkout. They have yet to refund our deposit, as well as charged us for two days that we were not there. Which was November 1st and November 2nd. Prior to that, they refunded our deposit, even though the room was paid for, and told us we needed to put down another deposit even though they sent the money back on their own. I will admit that I was livid and raised my voice, but this is UNACCEPTABLE. I will NEVER stay at this hotel again, nor would I ever recommend it to anyone else. In total they have $180 dollars that they've taken and not returned. We've had no noise complaints, did not damage any rooms and made sure to leave before checkout everytime. These charges will be disputed and I hope they enroll each of their front desk personnel in lessons on proper customer service and management.
