Loved this museum but didn't have time to tour it. Went in and bought souvenirs and stretched our legs. Cool old diner display next to it. Lots of history and nostalgia.

The museum has already closed by the time we arrived, but there's still plenty to see that we didn't feel like we wasted a trip there. Plenty of posters for things that look interesting nearby and we ended up visiting some of them.

A MUST See!! A true step back in time. We made a road trip on our way from AZ to OK. Little did we know that along the way we would see many of the highlights featured in the museum. Take the time and see this hidden gem.

A nice nostalgic walk down memory lane! They also have a very nice assortment of mementos. I bought a Route 66 road sign that looks like an old neon sign, but is lit by LEDs.Staff was very helpful in selecting which of the 4 different versions of the sign I would buy. After walking and reading the headlines from the late 1920s thru the development of the Interstate Highways, I was struck by all the problems that we, the people of this fine country, have endured over all those decades; the Great Depression, WW1, WW2, Vietnam, and on and on to today. I wondered if we could all just take a breath and perhaps lower the volume of our arguing about our differences and every now and then, really try to consider listening to what the other side is saying, I think somehow we will endure and eventually overcome our current dismal condition of hate and distrust that permeates all of our lives.

Well done museum tracing Route 66 through the decades of the 1920s to present day. As you enter each room the displays are clear and informative, with music of that aera playing in the background. As you may know, Route 66 goes from Chicago to Los Angeles. One of the stops along the way is Clinton, OK, so that is why this museum is here. The vibrant colors and lights were appealing to me and certainly kept my attention. My group stopped to take several photos along the way like they were taking a trip down memory lane.

This is a great museum and well thought out. It's laid out by decades and there's quite a bit to see in each decade. There's a self-guided audio tour in each room, music, and plaques to read. It goes through the whole history of the road from its inception to its decommissioning. We spent just over 2 hours there and felt like we saw everything.

I must of experience the same overzealous lady working that day also. We walked in to buy something from the gift shop only and she wanted to immediately charge us money. We were doing the Route 66 passport and simply just wanted it stamped and buy a souvenir which we did but as soon as I told her that she literally threw the book back at my 10 year old son. Her attitude changed when I told her my youngest daughter with disabilities was having a meltdown and was in the car with my wife do to doing 3 museums already. I'm not sure if I would want to come back after this warm welcome from this lady.

Stopped by on our way through Oklahoma along Route 66. Such a cute little museum, we loved the way it was set up with the little mock town. Things were grouped very well. The Route 66 mural was worth the 5 dollars alone! A little weird smelling in some spots, but hey, that's the nature of antiques. Three museums included in such a good price, well worth the stop. So many cute photo ops too!
