Rocky's Bricktown

We rented this place for a large birthday party. The venue itself was pretty cool, but the owner, Rocky, made the experience awful. He made sure everyone knew the place was his, and made you feel unwelcome. The bar was cash only (no credit cards), but he failed to mention that to anyone. He and his high school staff started clearing out our decorations an hour before the party ended, and he even yelled at some kids to get back to the other side of the room (away from where he was supervising the crowd.) He told us we had freedom to do what we wanted before booking, but when we were setting up he was in there telling us where we should put stuff, told us we couldn't cover up his large, cowboy sculpture with a big sign about unattended children. The catering was disgusting. So cheap, you could literally tell he just went to Sams before hand and got some deli meat and cold bread slices. He did provide a caricature for our party at no charge, but it seemed like it was more of a favor for his friend than our party. Overall, I hate to write negative reviews, and gave 2 stars because the venue really is neat. But the owner should really just be behind the scenes and make his guests feel more welcome. He is obviously not a people-person, so he should hire someone else to do his customer service. Honestly Rocky, it's worth the extra expense. Bad customer experiences go a long way, and I hope my review can inspire change or prevent someone else from having to go through the experience.

I have been to 2 events at Rocky's, both were high school reunions so this review will only be able to let you know how they handle reunions. The venue holds 387 according to the posted fire marshall's note above the door and they have someone at the door counting who comes in, but since we were a non-ticket event, there was a guest list & name tags no need to count tickets. The area is more rectangle than a square, but there was plenty of seating at round tables, square tables and long tables. Tall tables & regular tables with chairs. The decor is rustic, barn, old west vibe.We had food served buffet style of shaved ham, turkey, turkey pastrami, bread, Grandma's garlic pickles, sliced sausage, cheese plate, desert of cookies & mousses(?). I'm sure I forgot something, but those were the things I ate. It was good, and they didn't run out of food the whole night. Cash bar with beer and spirits. There was also soft drinks, tea & water for us designated drivers. The air conditioner works great and in OK in the summer in a crowd of people, that is 100%! There is a small dance floor you could probably get 50 people out on it and a stage for a DJ. I wasn't in on the planning for this reunion so I don't know if the DJ was provided for with the rental as he wasn't anyone from the reunion or if he was hired by the class. He was good, he played from 7pm-12am without the music stopping. There were 2 young men walking the floor the whole time picking up empty glasses, beer bottles, plates, napkins. Straightening table decor, pushing chairs up to the table so people had room to walk around the floor. They impressed the heck out of me. There is no street parking, but you can pay to park in the hotel parking lot just across the street. Or Uber, Lyft to and from. If you need a venue for pretty much anything, check them out. There is also an elevator for easy access as you walk up a flight of stairs for entry.

We had our 20th high school reunion here and couldn't be more pleased. Rocky was great to work with and the venue was perfect. He provided a great service staff and DJ. I highly recommend this venue!

Our boss arranged a Christmas party here. It was warm and inviting and at the same time festive and happy. The staff were great. The food was very good. We had a great time. We thought everything was wonderful. I only complaint I heard which I share is the music was excruciatingly loud. It hindered conversation quite about but we got by. It was otherwise a very fun time
