Rockaway Tavern

Chelsea is very helpful even introduced me to a regular, Mikey & Mike. ( Chelsea says there are a lot of Mikes who hangout here). This is a classic dive bar with one pool table, pinball and darts. Been here since 1935. The beers are mostly domestic but 3Coop beers including F5. Would be great if they added a few more local craft beers and glasses soon. They also have Liquior and wine. They need a better well tequila (not Mont... revenge)I love dive bars, and I have stopped here several times over the years but this is the first time I realized that I there is a basement. The new owners (since September) have fixed it up really nice (see pics). There is also a large deck out back. They hope to add some bar food soon. This is a great neighborhood bar and a excellent destination bar also.Enjoy

My weirdo friends that grew up in OK shitty and went to OS Who as frat boy Charlies stop here and play pool a few times a year. These guys would get their asses handed to them at affair of the heart. They have sissy names like Asher, chase, and Lisa. They have not had any problems despite all the red flags i have thrown up so far. Just don't take an aggressive stance with a Guy named Mike and enjoy the cheap beer and games and you should be fine. Tip the bartender as you progress the night and that will help versus keeping it open and everyone is wondering. Cash is cha'ching at Seward and sooner. Boomer!

What a fun stop on the way back to Edmond from Stillwater! We were looking for a fun little bar to have a couple of drinks and this place did not disappoint! We heard the history of the building and saw pics of past noodling competitions. The bar is very smoky, but they have a nice deck out back for fresh air and pool tables downstairs. Also, an old style cigarette machine that had my social media friends guessing where we were. Will definitely stop in again when in the area.

My husband and I live about 7 minutes away from this place, and we decided to stop in today. And we are so glad we did, because it's awesome! It's in an old "jailhouse" that was built in the early 1900's by a sheriff and his prisoners. They say it's haunted... I don't know about that, but it's definitely got great character! The floors creek, they've got one pool table, a jukebox, and apparently they throw the best holiday parties in Guthrie. I'd like to stop in on Halloween or Christmas sometime. It's such a dive, they only serve beer, and they have the most welcoming staff around! This is going to be one of our regular spots for sure. No frills, just good people and cheap beer.

Enjoyed this place! Hole in the wall, but that's my style! Outside area is nice, inside is quaint, you can tell it's been around forever. Nice friendly staff! Definitely would go again! Do note though this is a beer only place, caught me off guard as I didn't know they had just beer bars...which id say is a bit of a bummer but hey I guess it keeps me in check, ha!

This is a wonderful little bar with big personality & the coldest beer in town! The owner is very friendly & so is the staff. It's clean & quaint with a patio out back. We haven't experienced one of their holiday blowout parties but hope to this year. My husband and I enjoy the atmosphere at the Rockaway! Oh! They also sell T-shirts with Rockaway on them & I really like a couple of the designs for women. Hope to get one or two next time we go.

Great bar, great service, great drinks. Love this bar!!! Atmosphere is fun everytime we go in. Every bartender gives great service and is fast and friendly. Everyone should visit this place. Pool tables are in great condition.

It's only a beer bar but fun atmosphere and nice people. Outdoor seating is cool. Come on October they totally deck it out for Halloween. It's the most awesome thing I have ever seen!!
