Roberts Drive-In

Over the weekend I had a not so great experience here and wrote a review about it. I came back on Monday because I was determined to give Roberts another shot and see what the all the hype was about.The moment I walked into Roberts I was greeted by a woman who had read my review and said she wanted to make things right. I was shocked that she recognized me in person based off of my yelp picture. You can tell she cares a lot about the business and that my initial experience wasn't indicative of how they want to treat their customers. My service was top notch and my meal was even better.

Roberts is a hole-in-the wall located in Altus, OK. This place stayed super busy. People were in and out with to-go orders. This place stayed full the entire time we were there. Service was excellent. The server constantly wanted to insure we had everything that was needed. I expected the burger to be fresher. My patty tasted as if it had been frozen. The chicken fried steak was tasty. Overall, an acceptable place to eat at if you are in Altus, OK.

Very popular place for the BEST (grassfed Angus) burger in Altus. Homemade desserts(delish), friendly service and specials everyday. Lunch only except Fridays which go thru dinner time. Clean, friendly, prompt, food is always hot as needed. During Chinese Corona virus (Covid19) they come out and take your order, receive payment, and bring your food! Love giving business to local eateries during this time.

Great service. Hand made burger patties that were delicious. Sometimes gps apps will lead astray but it's right next to Papa John's on east broadway street. Pretty small and shack like from the outside, but don't let the looks fool you, because it has awesome food. Bout 11 tables give or take and it gets pretty packed at lunch time so come quick, and come hungry. The burgers range from small to extra large.

$$$. Ummm yaa. I haven't eaten here in about a year. Maybe the last time I did I did not pay attention to the prices? Maybe? Probably..because 16 dollars for two cheeseburgers and 2 drinks (no fries), is outrageous. So did the prices go up in the last year? I don't know, in any case I wont be going back. There are, well ALL of the other places in town are better priced. You want a bangin bacon cheeseburger with drink and fries or massive onion rings go to Freds. I don't like much on their menu but that Bacon cheeseburger dealio for 6 bucks is awesome.

This place has a pretty darn good burger with GREAT service. Just wish they didn't use frozen fries.

No wonder this place is always busy! I was craving a good hamburger and I got one. The prices are great, staff friendly and the burgers have that homemade feel. They also give the option to have tots instead of fries and if you chose the fries, you can get them with cheese! Definitely a good lunch!

Really wanted to try this place based on the reviews. Buuutttttt. At 230 I'm the afternoon you can't eat inside. All the chairs were up on the tables and they said they are only doing to go orders. To bad if you don't live in town. Too hot to eat sitting in the car and not eating a burger while driving. May try next time or maybe not.

How has this escaped me for 16 years. Guess they keep a secret tell well around these parts. Should have known cause the Highway Patrol and Police all eat here. Look at the pictures, this is back home old school burgers and fries. You can tell it great just finding a place to park, next is the mouth watering smell walking in the door. Find a table and sit. Don't hog the big tables for 4 if there are only two in your party. Service is 5/5, cleanliness is 5/5, and the food is 6/5!! Friendly, welcoming, fast service. Tea sweet and Unsweet is top notch. Burgers remind me of growing up, thought Dad or Mom had cooked them. So Old School!! Got an XLCB extra large cheese burger, so good. Fries done right. I give you a tip, if you and wait, open seating and open parking around 12:50-1:00pm. I can not wait to go back!

I can honestly say that I will never ever return to this business again. I went there today for the first time and was treated very rudely. I ordered a large burger with everything on it. I handed this elderly lady my debit card and she said in a loud voice, "You're card was declined " I told her that was impossible because there's several thousand dollars in my account. She attempted to run it again and repeated "You're card was declined " quite loudly. I attempted to explain how she should correctly run my card but to no avail.Finally a middle aged woman told the elderly lady to forget it.So since I was embarrassed and humiliated I will never attempt to eat there again, so they have lost a new customer and I intend to let everyone I know how I was treated.
