Quiet and relaxing fishing lake. The fishing docks are nice sized with seating. The walkway half the way around the lake is nice with benches every so often. Peaceful.

We are a family of obsessive fishermen and travel frequently. Pretty Water Lake is by far our happy place. It is well maintained, stocked, and the couple in charge are beyond kind and eager to help. It's nice to be able to frequent a place that everyone feels like family. Everything from the picnic areas to the docks stay well maintained and trust me, I'm pretty picky about that. We've seen people who were being disrespectful and breaking the clearly posted rules of the lake, get treated with kindness that would have otherwise have been turned away or asked to leave. They are more than accommodating with their picnic shelters and we even had our child's Birthday party out there and the crowd loved it. We have been beyond impressed with how they have handled the Covid pandemic, as I'm sure it would be a tough hit to be slammed pack, unable to fully operate the bait shop and still managed to help with anything needed or forgotten without putting anyone in harms way. The City should be very proud to have such amazing people to represent their lake. I know it's because of them that we always feel safe and have a great time out there knowing that someone who loves this property and it's people are working so hard to keep it looking so nice and taking care of the families that love it.

If it were at all possible to give a negative rating, that's exactly the route I would go. With the Covid-19 lockdown, my family was getting quiete bored. Let's go fishing, we thought. So, on to the germ infested Walmart we went. After spending over $250 to get fishing poles, tackle, bait, and the proper state required fishing licenses, we were excited to reel in some fish. However, the excitement was short lived, as we were approached by a disrespectful employee before we even grabbed the supplies from the trunk of the car. He briskly walked our way shouting he needed to see all of our permits immediately. In response, I walk his way and show him my state fishing license that was just purchased. He said, "No, I need to see your city license." I responded with a questionable look as we are not knowledgeable fishers by any means. He then aggressively proceeded to explain how it's listed on the sign, insinuating that I must be as ignorant as he is disrespectful. Nonetheless, I stated I wasn't going to pay any more money--seeing as how our family had already spent over $250 to get to this point. His choice of response was to shout about how the city pays good money to keep the fish stocked, which is great, but I didn't see the point of spending even more hard earned money when there are plenty of free spots to enjoy. So, back into the cars we went. While trying to figure out our next plan of action, I was out voted, and the family decided to pay for their access to fish at Pretty Water. We drove to the shop down the road, and proceed to patiently wait for someone to assist the family in their city license needs. Behold, we have to deal with Mr. Disrespectful, yet again. I stay in the car, as I am not giving my money to anyone or anything that allows such rude, belittling behavior to take place. He chooses to slam his door and walk up to my family asking where their snotty friend is. I'm not sure how I was snotty in making the decision to not spend any more money for they day, but ok mister! My loved ones explain I'm in the car, and he responds with, yet another rude comment. Surprise! "Well, I'm not selling her a license," he elucidates. Therefore, my family finally chose to be on the same wagon as me, and proceeded to walk away and not fund such matters. You would think the conversation was over, but no. He couldn't help himself. He decided to take one more jab at us with one of the rudest comments of white American history, "We don't need your kind around here!" Yes, it's 2020, and people still choose to act in such racist, disrespectful manners. Now, mind you, we are an interracial gay couple with my ladies son present. This is the behavior he was subjected to as a young black man, and it is unashamedly unacceptable! We will take our catch and release extracurricular activities elsewhere, and I have advised everyone I know of the rude actions Pretty Water is supporting by allowing such a racist man to treat potential customers in such vial manners. In the meantime, you should consider changing the name to Ugly Water, as that's the kind of attitude present in "those parts

Created in 1935, water source for Sapulpa. Managed by Sapulpa Parks Dept. There is easy access to about 2/3 of the shoreline. There are piers on each end of the lake. There is a boat ramp and fishing. No latrines, but down the road from Lake Sahoma Park. Quiet, heavily trees area. Sometimes there is a waterfall at the rock dam.

I enjoy taking my family fishing there , the lady that runs the bait shop is beyond the most friendly lady I have ever met. She is always going around both lake picking up trash and making sure the lakes are very nice and clean. When they have the kids fishing derby we enjoy taking our grandchild there to fish, again the people at the bait shop go above and beyond for the kids . I would highly recommend fishing there and buying bait from the bait shop.
