Sweet and cute with a hint of nostalgia. I felt like I was walking into my grandma's kitchen.Walking in, you can smell delicious buttery top notes melded with a tantalizing mix of warm sugar and sweet vanilla with tiny, tiny hints of coconut at the base. It's amazing, but what is most note worthily is the warmth I felt from the owner of the shop. She told me she's had the place for years and proudly talked about her brownies at the airport. Please note, as a comment to another reviewer, the $5 you paid for a brownie was the airport's price, not hers. She sells them for half that in store. Not only do they do an amazing job catering, but all their food is homemade! What? Amazing. With only a three day notice and more than 6 plates of homemade, perfectly laid out food, I was so impressed. She included serving spatulas and spoons for everything we needed to put the food out. It was a life saver. Thank you for making our event so much more beautiful than we could have imagined! Those brownie bites are to DIE for, and you're right- the cheese dip with the jalapeño jelly was gone in 15 minutes.

I've known the ladies who run Prairie Gypsies for years, but until recently I'd never ordered anything from them. A few weeks ago, I thought I had food sorted for an event, but at the last minute I realized it wasn't going to work out. This event was on a Monday night, and on Friday at around 3p I realized it just wasn't going to happen. I co-work at Halcyon, so I was right next door. I walked over, talked to Debbie for about ten minutes and she had me all fixed up. I saved money by providing all my own plates, napkins and cutlery, and by picking it up myself. Debbie made it easy by providing only items that didn't need to be kept warm, and she provided all the trays and tongs. We picked it up, set it out, and watched our guests enjoy hummus and veggies, queso and chips, a fancy cheese and jam spread, wonderful little flaky pinwheels of deliciousness, and a tower of delicious brownies and other sweets. They made this so easy for us, and really saved our event on short notice. I will definitely use them again for both work and personal events.

The Prairie Gypsies' jalapeño jelly is something that you'll almost always find in our Big Gay Refrigerator. (Seriously.)We mix it with cream cheese to top canapés, and it's singularly delicious with peanut butter. (Try mixing it with your favorite peanut butter and then filling hearts of celery with the mixture. OH MAH GAH!The shop itself is easy to navigate and browse through, and the catering services offered are both affordable and perfectly planned.Keep your dollars local, Oklahoma City!

I bought several items here recently, during their freezer sale so it wasn't quite as pricey as normal. So far, all the food I've tried has been good. However, comparatively to the other stores that sell ready made foods I feel like their portions are too small for the price. My biggest issue is they put their food in plastic containers that aren't microwaveable. I tried microwaving one of their containers and it literally melted around the food in under 2 minutes. The black dishes can be microwaved (if not for too long) but the clear ones can't at all. If they are going to use plastic to freeze their food in then it should be a microwaveable plastic. Part of the reason I'm not cooking at home is because I don't want to deal with cleanup, if I have to transfer your food to my own dishes to heat it up then I might as well just make it myself since I'm going to be washing dishes anyway. I'd prefer foil containers so I can just pop them in the toaster oven.

This is a great local store. I have ordered their products quite a few times through the co-op. Last week, I needed to send some gifts across the country and Debbie was incredibly helpful. She even shipped them for me, which was very convenient. It is easy to browse through the store and put together a gift. Plus, you are supporting a very good, local business.

This establishment has been around for quite a long time. It is very well thought of by almost all customers. It is a reliable source of prepared gourmet entrees, sides and deserts. The gypsy ladies' brownies are legendary and they are always available. These brownies are extremely rich and can easily be divided into four pieces (but you won't want to). Many other hard-to-find goodies are available. And it's all take-out. You can pretend you made it yourself. But nobody will believe you. It's tooo good.

Loved their deserts, jams and jellies. I bought their Red Hot Lover Jam and Parmesan Gypsy dressing and we are addicted at our house.
