My friend introduced me to this place and I actually can't believe I never knew about it before having lived in Oklahoma my whole life! This place is an art lover's dream! Rows and shelfs full of art supplies. Pens for days and even classic kid/teacher brands like Crayola perfect for the school room.I was looking for some art supplies...a multi-medium notebook where I could watercolor, draw, and use pastels. I was also looking for a black paper notebook and a white pen to create some artwork for my bullet journal. I found everything and some extra goodies as well! I cute pencil pouch, a small sharpener, and an eraser. Now that I'm a mom, I will definitely be returning here to create some fun activities when my son gets older!

For the serious artist there is only one choice for "fine art" supplies in Oklahoma city. Pourch school and art supplies is located just north of 50th street on north Santa fe Ave. My first visit there was was like Alice down the rabbit hole. This is no craft or hobby store. I was astonished by the selection of high end quality artist supplies. The very best brushes, paints, pencils, inks, papers, surfaces, and more..more..more. If you're a serious artist that wants the finest materials to create with try Pourch. Don't be put off the school supplies in the title, YOU WON'T BE SORRY. Check out what I was able to create from art supplies I bought at Pourch.

I received a gift card to this place for Christmas. I had never heard of it. So on a Tuesday I went there and it was AMAZING. The staff was very friendly, and I found everything I needed. One problem though, I was over charged on one of my items but no big deal. 100% recommend this place. :)

I can't believe I've never reviewed Porch School & Art Supply. I needed a roll of butcher paper for a project, and I came in today to get that. Of course, I am a human, so I can't walk into Porch and just buy one thing! A little backstory about me: I cannot ever resist buying ALL the Crayola products. My mom always bought them for me, and I love to buy them for my kids. I usually still feel a little guilty, like I'm spoiling them a little, and everywhere else in town, they always seem too expensive. But I don't have to feel bad about that at Porch. I feel good about all of it. I feel good about the prices - which are arguably the lowest in town - and I feel great about supporting a locally owned business. I know how much they've done for public schools and for local artists, so I feel like I'm helping support that when I shop here too. And, I feel good about getting my kids fun art supplies that will hopefully encourage creativity and self-expression.

I walked in here, hearing from my teachers in lawton, that this was a good art supply store. Oh man! I started drooling and my husband started sweating. He knew my bill was going be high. It wasn't too bad. I loved that I could wander the aisles and browse. I don't think the young lady working knew much. But I found all kinds of wonderful things. I want to back. Maybe spring break. I went during thanksgiving time last time. Lol

It doesn't have that streamlined crispness of huge retailers - a canopy of florescent lines and booshy gospel-jazz. The drab outside is basically what you can expect for the inside. It has a human element that we no longer associate with businesses and may not be for everyone. It's an art store for artists. If you think that the "artwork" at the Hobb-Blob is a cheap intrusion on what you do as an artist, then consider their "art supply" section is a cheap intrusion for art suppliers. I went to Porch half out of pity for the ever-struggling, independent brick-and-mortar store, but was surprised to find they honestly outperform other craft stores in the range they carry. Bigger stores generally only carry oil paints from Winsor & Newton, a cheap MiC brand, and a USA-made if you're lucky - but often edging out a brand to make way for their own private label. Porch had about a dozen series from different brands including some smaller companies I'd never heard of. You can support small businesses while supporting a small business. They don't have to worry about simplifying their product selection for the sake of incompetent staff or maximizing efficiency as others seem to do. They're willing to explore more democratic options for people with preferences. It's an art supply store that focuses on the best experience and is worth driving past other stores.
