Celebrating Veteran's Day with a free lunch! Thanks Pablano's! It's such a great honor for businesses to recognize those who have served their nation! It may seem like nothing to most people but to reflect back on my 20 yr contribution to our country it's nice to see the grateful businesses that notice! The good was amazing, I did a Chicken Taco & Beef Enchilada - very tasty!!My wife chose something similar and we throughly enjoyed today's lunch!

Poblano was exactly the Mexican restaurant we were searching for. We visited at 2:30 in the afternoon so we started with a happy hour appetizer of chicken taquitos. For $4 we received 6 taquitos with sour cream, pico and lettuce. They were cooked perfectly. I would definitely order them as an entree. My husband chose beef fajitas as his entree. The beef was cut into thick pieces and everything was seasoned very well. I chose a "choose your own entree" of two ground beef enchiladas with rice and papas. I requested ranchero sauce to top the enchiladas. The sauce had a wonderful kick that grew in heat and flavor. The papas were such a pleasant surprise. They were made with real potatoes as was evident by the potato skins. They had a perfect amount of cheese and some sort of pepper. Probably the best papas I've ever had. For those who are not from Oklahoma, such as myself, it appears to be standard here to receive complementary chips and salsa as well as complementary tortillas and queso and sopapillas. Where I live, we only receive complementary chips and salsa, so this was a real treat. The sopapillas were soft and covered with a cinnamon sauce, which was kind of like a very thin, melted frosting. They were divine. We also had wonderful service from our waiter--thank you, Richard! Poblano leans to the Tex-Mex side of Mexican food, which can be very hard to find. We absolutely loved our experience there and will definitely be back the next time we visit OKC!

The food is good every time we come. We were in a large group tonight and it went really well. The food was still good and all served at the same time.

Definitely come here and try it out. The food definitely leans closer to more authentic Mexican cuisine, especially when it comes to choice of spices. My favorite part of my dish (cheese & onion enchiladas) was the side dish of papas - that was delicious! The chili sauce just was not my favorite- but that's a personal preference. Service was super-prompt & very attentive. Decor/ambiance is clean & simple.

"Of all the gin joints..."I have always said the East Coast has nothing on the Texas and Oklahoma Mexican food.Well in this case I was mistaken. The server was outstanding! I really appreciated how attentive she was and she was sure to ask me if I wanted a to go drink. No question about it she's in the wrong restaurant.Food? The chip were good and the salsa was. The cheese dip had almost zero flavor.I liked the rice and the cheese and onion enchiladas were ok. The refried beans were nasty.I probably will risk going to another place I've never been to rather than Poblano's again.Maybe I should risk the Hispanic neighborhood near downtown.

This place is pretty good. The restaurant is pretty open and has a cute Mexican ambiance. The service was nice, our waiter was attentive and kept checking on us which I appreciate. The food was good, I ordered a combo platter that I chose 3 options - flauta, enchilada and quesadilla. The flauta was definitely different than what I'm used to. I typically am used to super crunchy flautas and this one was a little soggy. Still flavorful but just not what I'm used to. The enchilada was very underwhelming. The corn tortilla was just not cooked and the insides were just okay. Luckily it was doused in sauce, so it kind of helped. The quesadilla was made of their delicious flour tortillas with a few pieces of chicken and cheese. Which was okay. Imagine a children's version of a regular quesadilla. Their flour tortillas were pretty tasty so that helped a lot. Otherwise, food was fine, definitely a nice atmosphere for a good little dinner.

Pablono grill is located on north May Ave just south of Memorial. It had been several years since I had last eaten there. We decided on a lite lunch. I ordered the shrimp cocktail Mexicana while everyone else shared a chicken nachos platter. The shrimp cocktail was very tasty and chocked full of shrimp. The chicken nachos were workman like with enough on the plattertofeed four people. Several in our party commented on the taste and overall quality. Our server was super helpful and prompt. For a nice south of the border lite lunch give them a try next time you're up that way.

Disappointing & Overrated - Just Drive a Little Further!I don't know how, but when I looked up Mexican near me on yelp this place got rated #1, but it was honestly a huge letdown. The food was bland, overpriced, and nowhere near the quality you'd expect from a top-rated Mexican restaurant. If you're craving good Mexican food, do yourself a favor and keep driving a little further down the road to Chuy's or Uncle Julio's. You'll get better food, and better prices--all for the same meal. Trust me, your wallet and your taste buds will thank you.Not sure who's giving this place good reviews , but it's definitely not worth the hype!

A group of us AA women (for a bookclub) attempted to eat here but felt ignored. We had an early arrival of one friend whom was never greeted. We joined a half hour later and still weren't helped. After about 10 minutes of waiting we just decided to go. It didn't feel right considering the restaurant was fairly empty. All we wanted was to be acknowledged and treated with respect. Maybe this was a one off but this needed to be shared in case it's more common than people share.

If you are in any kind of hurry, I would not suggest this restaurant. We were told a 30 minute wait and ended up waiting over an hour and then another 35 minutes before we even got to order. The service is pretty non-existent and no one seemed to care how long people were having to wait.
