Persimmon Square Apartments

I have lived in a 2 bedroom town house for a year at persimmon square. The office people are really nice. The maintenance is kinda slow but overall it was a good place to live.

I signed a 3 month lease and paid in full at the time I rented the apartment. I did everything by email and had not seen the apartment until I moved in, I was never even offered a walk through. As I was signing my lease, a former tennant walked in and tossed down his keys and said "I know you're keeping my deposit, that's what you guys do right" and walked out. I should have known then to get out. The apartment was right accross the street from another apartment complex that was very noisy. By a month in I'd had it. I notified the manager on 3 occassions that I would be moving out before my lease was up and that I had already paid my full 3 month lease in full. I was told I would not recieve any refunds. I moved out and gave back my keys. Lo and behold, I get a bill for $635 for my last months rent, because I moved out early. WAIT?? I paid for 3 months and stayed less than 2. According to my signed lease agreement I am only responsible for 3 months rent. I have no idea what scam they are trying to pull but I am disgusted by this place. My apartment was not ready on time, had obvioulsy been a pet apartment (I was told it was not), and the fixtures are from the 60's and falling apart. Disgusting place. Paid up front and being treated like a criminal with threat to take me to collections-even though they've been paid per the lease agreement!

nice place, nice neighborhood. poor to bad customer service for the money you are paying. don't expect to get your deposit back if you move out, instead you will owe them. oh yes. they told me the fireplace was dirty when i never used it. for two years they expect your carpet to be brand new.
