Pawnee Nation Trading Post

Yep. It really is all-in-one. Gas station, convenience store, snack counter that sells catfish and other random offerings... and casino. All packed in a pretty pint-sized building. We stopped by on a Friday night while passing through Pawnee. It's clearly the local hotspot with quite the crowd happening. An interesting cross section of society, and good people watching. Try the Lucky Larry's Fish Special at your own risk...

I work here and we try to keep things together, as any group of individuals do in a work place. Before I worked here, I enjoyed it for the good cheap burgers and casino. Now that I've tried everything on the menu except breakfast and I can't gamble, I've come to find that the people are one of the reasons that folks like this place. The staff are friendly and helpful, I've seen them in action 100%. Don't be intimidated if you come in and see everyone huddled in the front laughing, they're just passing time on a slow night. The casino side is decent for being so tiny. Fridays is promotion night for the players club members. Thursdays have stuff at noon. I've never won anything big and from my 3 months here I've only seen 4 jackpots and 2 were on the same day, by the same person. The food is your standard greasy spoon menu: hamburgers and chicken strips and fried fish. While they could do better (managements fault), the cooks do the best with what they got. If you see me behind the retail counter, just know that I'm the weird exception to the friendliness. I'm trying to get over my strange shyness though.

These are definitely the best burgers in town! For a great price the burger baskets you get a ton of fries more than you can eat, and a very big burger. I love their burger so much I haven't explored their menu at all and am not sick of it yet! So this is a Fantastic BURGER Review! :D
