My almost four-year-old recently had a ballet recital. Her dance company used Party Pics, and I'm incredibly dissatisfied. Their prices are astronomical, considering the only background they used was a white sheet, there were no props, no outfit changes, only five or six photos taken (by girls who didn't seem to know anything about dance, as my daughter was posed in positions incorrectly) and no edits on the photos at all as far as black and white, air brushing, etc.Not to mention, at the end of her shoot, one of the girls (and they all looked like they were in high school or very early college - not exactly a professional group) turned around and said, "Oops, I just realized I was standing in front of the flash the whole time!" The girl taking the photos shrugged and said, "Well they looked good anyway." And they didn't. I don't know if it was because someone was blocking a flash, or if the white background with my daughter's pale skin and pastel costume washed her out (another reason there should have been edits or at least a background choice) but they were awful. Her face was so washed out and bright, that you could hardly even see her adorable dimples. Then, being that I take photos myself, I wanted to get a disc of the photos and just make the edits myself and print them on my own, since their photos were absolutely not worth the hundreds they charge... But there was no option on their website for a disc. So basically, you get crappy service, horrible photos, and that's that. No disc for those of us who want edits or to print our own photos into birthday invitations, etc.I called them, and they said they don't offer discs. But the girl I spoke with said she would get with her manager and see what could be done and that they would call me back that day or the next. That was a week ago, and I've still received no phone call. My grandmother ended up paying almost $90 to DOWNLOAD, THREE, photos to our computer. This place is a huge scam.If you need professional photos done, you're much better off going to a JC Penny, Walmart, etc. and paying half the price and actually get props, a clothes change, different backdrops, and photos edits (and a disc!).Horrible company and awful service. Oh, and before the recital when they took the group photo of the four girls, they had the two shortest ones together on one side, the tallest one in third place, and the photo was horrible. Why they wouldn't put the two girls of even height on the ends or middle is beyond me. These people didn't seem to have any clue what they were doing. If my daughter's dance company uses them next year, I'm going to hand out my own card and will take better candid photos of the children in a different place. I would never recommend Party Pics to anyone. Run away!

I went to an award ceremony and Party Pics took the photos for the event. I was planning on purchasing the pictures in order to send them to my parents who could not make it up for the event. When I received the email that sent me the link to purchase my pictures, I was astonished by the prices they were charging. They were charging $50 for 3 image downloads. I thought this was insane. I called them at their Norman location and asked if we could work on the price at all and so that I would be able to send my parents a few pictures. Unfortunately they refused to work with me at all on the price. I am pretty upset about the situation obviously, I am unable to pay $50 for 3 image downloads and they will not be making any money off my photos that I am unable to buy so no one really wins in this situation.
