tables, chairs, and a vending machine
a bar with a neon sign
They're patio/lawn for live music.
You can order to go food from the little place up the street (Cock Eyed Bob's) and they'll deliver it to the Tavern.
Love that they brought in a wider selection of beers.

A Medicine Park staple for years! They're one of the few places open on Wednesdays so we are very grateful to have them around as a reliable watering hole. They've got pool tables, a lovely patio overlooking the creek on one side, and a friendly and welcoming bar crowd. There's always drink specials as well as draught beer and funny shots - my favorite is their pickle shots! Their bartenders are friendly and efficient. A solid stop for adult beverages and friendly faces.

This place was awesome!!! Very fun inviting atmosphere. Not to mention you can enjoy your beverage outside while looking at the beautiful scenery and the creek. They have live entertainment too. This place is perfect if you are wanting to have a good time!

We stayed in Medicine Park for three days and after looking at the map, decided that we would probably be spending a LOT of time here as it's the only bar. Unfortunately we did not. Not only do they only serve beer, but none of the staff were kind or welcoming. We felt like total outsiders and left after a couple of beers. For people still wanting to check it out, they do have pool and darts and sometimes live music (which we enjoyed briefly). For those who want some friendly advice, head on over to the Old Plantation Inn Restaurant where they have a full bar and great staff.

Love that there's liquor here now! I also love that they've added some interesting new and local beers to their line up. Service was friendly, crowd was chill, and the guitarist/singer was really good! I didn't catch his name but he did a lot of popular rock covers. Will be stopping here a lot more often now that I can get a whiskey. :)

If your in Medicine Park for the Mayor's Red Dirt Ball, the Blues Festival, or just enjoying a weekend away, The Park Tavern is a great place to relax and have a pint or two. Across from the only hotel in town (Plantation Inn), the Park Tavern is close to the fun and the music. The staff are friendly quick to make sure you don't run dry!

I was in town visiting family, and was excited to end my evening with a trip to Park Tavern. Unfortunately, my entire group wasn't even allowed in. The lady working at the door was checking IDs, which is totally understandable and expected. One of the member of our group could not locate her ID, so she was asked to leave. I followed her out so that she wouldn't be alone (after the lady had checked my ID and commented about how it didn't look like me), and we waited out front while the rest of our group was still inside. As we were standing out front pondering where her ID could be, the lady walked outside and stated that if we were "attempting to switch IDs", that our entire group would be banned. Not only were we all 21+, but the tone was incredibly assumptive, and off-putting. Nonetheless, our entire group ended up leaving the bar without getting to enjoy any food or drinks.

Okay if your going to hang outside. Inside smells like mildew/stale cigarette smoke. Only one server in the place on a Friday night so don't get in a rush. Prices are okay and the tables overlooking the river have a good view, though the wood decking is showing serious signs of wear/rot and the tables looked like they never get wiped down. Lastly, if you want another beer, your going to have to get it yourself, no one is coming to check on you at the table. Bottom line, a little run down but just about the only place to grab a couple beers!
