Pappy’s BBQ

Stopped in for a quick bite on a Saturday. Wasn't sure what I was getting into, but YOLO, right? Walked in, and the place is small, but smelled amazing. You know that barbecue scent? Yeah, they have it...and it immediately made my mouth water. You order at the counter. The menu isn't crazy extensive, but it's got plenty.I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and my partner ordered the chopped brisket sandwich. They both came with your choice of plain or BBQ Lay's.There are three different sauces: mild, sweet, and hot. Let me tell you this...they are all three fantastic sauces!Our sandwiches were piled high. And there wasn't all that gross fat that most barbecue places put in their pulled pork or chopped brisket. Just lots and lots of meat! Meeeeeat! We ate our nommy food up and were sad that we were finished. Full! But sad.Pappy's is WAAAAY better than Rib Crib, Swadley's, Billy Sim's, and the other joints Oklahoma calls barbecue. It's the best around, IMHO. Will definitely visit again!

We went last Saturday for lunch got 2 meals. 1 sandwich meal, 1 3rib meal. The sandwich was pulled beef that didn't fill the bun, with a tiny container of head country bbq sauce, and a small loaf of not fully cooked jiffy cornbread with added little bits of corn inside, paid $20 for my meal alone. I got a side order of chips, your choice of plain or BBQ, a small drink the drinks had too much carbonation and were awful. The 3ribs came with about 2 tbl spoons of slaw, and 1 tbl sp of baked beans with an order of their "new banana pudding" which was just a couple of slices bananas, about 4 cookies cramed in an extra small clear punch cup with about 1/2 tbl sp of instant pudding with a drizzle of caramel. Paid $45, left hungry and flabbergasted. Will never go back. Don't waste your money.

This place is awful! So expensive for their portion sizes. The meat was cold and had no smoke flavor at all. I should've read the reviews before trying.

Food was cold and the portions were terrible I paid $30 for 2 small cold ribs that tasted like terrible liquid smoke and two small sides with a 1/8lb of chopped cold brisket. I saw them microwave everything as well.

Susan is awesome! Great food! Great atmosphere! We eat at Pappy's every year we are working near the state fair of Oklahoma!

We enjoyed the atmosphere but the food was just ok. The turkey and sausage was average and the brisket wasn't. Their "sliced" brisket is cut in a 3"X3", 1/2 inch thick block. The service was great though.

AWFUL!! Reheated food and horrible portions! $54 for garbage! The McRib is better than this crap they call BBQ. Disgusting!

Got the BBQ brisket sandwich. Brisket had no flavor or smoke. Brisket was cold as was the bun. Limited menu. Won't be back.

SO YUMMY!!!! I LITERALLY ATE EVERYTHING!!!!!! brisket SMACKED! corn SMACKED! chicken SMACKED!!! POLISH SAUSAGES?????? IM A NEW FAN!!!!!!!!!!! but fr this is my new bbq joint. the atmosphere is small and feels quaint, the country music made me feel back at home service was also really great!!!

Was very disappointed. We showed up at 7pm when they close at 8 and the tea was not made but yet let me pay for it and then all the condiments were put away and never offered any! Super disappointed
